摘要： A circuit breaker wherein at least a pin sliding surface of a guide hole of a first contact arm, at least a pin sliding surface of a long hole of a second contact arm, and at least a contact surface of a second pin in contact with both the pin sliding surfaces, are treated by low-friction treatment to reduce frictional resistance, and surface-treated to provide surfaces exempt from attachment of molten metal caused by arcing; and furthermore at least the pin sliding surface of the first contact arm and at least the pin sliding surface of the long hole of the second contact arm are hardened to provide both the pin sliding surfaces with greater hardness than the second pin, thereby ensuring smooth movement of the second pin.

摘要： A multi-pole circuit interrupter having a first pole unit provided with an operating mechanism and a second pole unit provided with no operating mechanism for interrupting current flowing therethrough by separating a movable contact from a stationary contact as a result of an electromagnetic repulsive force generated upon occurrence of a large overcurrent irresepective of the automatic trip operation of an operating mechanism. Each of the pole units of the circuit interrupter comprises a contact arm assembly for supporting the movable contact including a first contact arm and a second contact arm pivotally supported by a common pivot pin. The first contact arm in the first pole unit has an elongated guide hole extending in a direction of movement of the movable contact and is directly connected to the operating mechanism. The first contact arm in the second pole unit is connected to the operating mechanism through a cross bar. The second contact arm has an elongated hole extending substantially in a direction of extension thereof. A spring-biased sliding pin extends through the elongated hole and the guide hole, and a stopper is mounted to a base of the second pole unit for limiting movement of the second contact arm beyond a predetermined position.

摘要： A circuit interrupter comprising a pair of separable contacts at least one of which is movable, and an operating mechanism operatively connected to the movable contacts for opening and closing the contacts. The operating mechanism includes a movable contact arm having mounted thereon the movable contact, a latch lever pivotally mounted on the movable contact arm, and a toggle link mechanism connected at its one end to an operating handle and the other end of which is directly engageable with said movable contact arm and the latch lever. The movable contact arm has a latch surface, and the latch lever has a latching end which, in cooperation with the latch surface, releasably catches the other end of the toggle link mechanism. The operating mechanism further comprises a yieldable member providing a yieldable stop surface for preventing the automatic return movement of the other end of the toggle link mechanism from an extended position after the trip operation to a reset position and for yieldably maintaining the other end of the toggle link mechanism at a position in which the toggle link mechanism is partly collapsed. The yieldable stop surface can be overcome by the manual moving effort on the operating handle.

摘要： A remotely controlled relay having two micro-switches driven to open and close by the plunger of a bistable polar electromagnet device. A current is supplied to the coil of the electromagnet device from an external power source to magnetize the plunger so that the plunger is moved through a stroke between a first position and a second position. When the plunger moves from the first position to the second position, a first micro-switch is closed to energize the coil in a first direction until the plunger passes through the middle of the stroke. When the plunger moves from the second position to the first position, a second micro-switch is closed to energize the coil in a second direction until the plunger passes through the middle of the stroke.

摘要： A remotely controlled relay having a lever and a link, both of which being driven by a bistable polar electromagnet device. The lever drives a switch circuit to open and close while the link operates the main-circuit opening-and-closing assembly. A current is supplied to the coil of the bistable polar magnet device from an external circuit and magnetizes the plunger such that the plunger moves through a stroke between a first and second positions. When the plunger arrives at the center of its stroke while the plunger is moving from the first position to the second position, the lever causes the micro-switch to switch from the a first contact position to a second contact position. When the plunger arrives at the center of plunger stroke while the plunger is moving from the second position to the first position, the lever causes the micro-switch to switch from the second contact position to the first contact position.

摘要： In a circuit interrupter having a base with a stationary contact, a toggle link mechanism including an operating handle supported by the base for manually operating the circuit interrupter and a link rotatably connected at one end to the operating handle; a movable member pivotally supported on the base and having a movable contact on one pivoting end portion; a latch lever pivotally supported on the base for latching the link so that the movable member and the link are normally connected to hold the movable member against the force of a biasing spring so that the contacts are in engagement, and an overcurrent trip means including a plunger actuated responsive to a large overcurrent to strike and pivot the latch lever so as to release the link from the movable member to move and separate the contacts, the improvement comprising a pivotal support for the latch lever and the movable member on the base, allowing both bodily movement and pivotal movement only of the movable member; the pivotal support including a pin fixed to the base extending through a circular hole in the latch lever and through a hole in the movable member which is elongated to allow bodily movement thereof without separating the contacts, and pivotal movement thereof separating the contacts by the biasing spring after a delay determined by the length of the elongated hole upon pivotal movement of the latch lever by the plunger striking the latch lever responsive to large overcurrent, releasing the link from the movable member, whereby any impact force due to the plunger striking the latch lever is transmitted to the base through the pin.
