Abstract:
A beat assisted temporal pressure password authentication method in which a user enters a password by pressing a touch interface, and holding the pressure within one of multiple pressure ranges for passing certain number of beats, for one or more times. A password is then produced as a sequence of the pressure range code and the count of the beats passed in that pressure range.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a service information platform with searching function, which comprises at least a photographic device, at least a user terminal, and a server device. The photographic device takes a picture of an object or a product label of the object and produces an image file. The user terminal connects to the server device and transmits the image file to the server device. After the server device receives the image file, a processor is used for producing an analysis result, which is used for searching at least a piece of service information related to the image file from the Internet or the classified service information database in the server device. Then the service information is returned back to the user terminal. Thereby, the user can acquire the service information from the Internet or the service information uploaded to the classified service information database by information suppliers.
Abstract:
An enclosure includes a chassis, a side panel and a knob structure. The chassis includes a rear panel in which a latching hole is defined. The knob structure includes a mounting member, a sliding member engaged in the mounting member, a positioning member secured to the side panel and a resilient member elastically engaged between the sliding member and the positioning portion. The mounting member is secured to the side panel. The sliding member includes a hook. The sliding member can slide from a first position to a second position; when the sliding member is in the first position, the hook engages in the latching hole, when the sliding member is in the second position, the hook disengages from the latching hole; the resilient member elastically deforms to bias the sliding member to slide from the first position to the second position.
Abstract:
A scanning evanescent microwave microscope (SEMM) that uses near-field evanescent electromagnetic waves to probe sample properties is disclosed. The SEMM is capable of high resolution imaging and quantitative measurements of the electrical properties of the sample. The SEMM has the ability to map dielectric constant, loss tangent, conductivity, electrical impedance, and other electrical parameters of materials. Such properties are then used to provide distance control over a wide range, from to microns to nanometers, over dielectric and conductive samples for a scanned evanescent microwave probe, which enable quantitative non-contact and submicron spatial resolution topographic and electrical impedance profiling of dielectric, nonlinear dielectric and conductive materials. The invention also allows quantitative estimation of microwave impedance using signals obtained by the scanned evanescent microwave probe and quasistatic approximation modeling. The SEMM can be used to measure electrical properties of both dielectric and electrically conducting materials.

The top portion is adapted to secure a first disk drive, the mounting bracket is secured to the bottom portion of the two portions and configured for securing a second disk drive that is smaller than the first disk drive.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatuses, and systems are presented for performing adaptive equalization involving receiving a signal originating from a channel associated with inter-symbol interference, filtering the signal using a filter having a plurality of adjustable tap weights to produce a filtered signal, and adaptively updating each of the plurality of adjustable tap weights to a new value to reduce effects of inter-symbol interference, wherein each of the plurality of adjustable tap weights is adaptively updated to take into account a constraint relating to a measure of error in the filtered signal and a constraint relating to group delay associated with the filter. Each of the plurality of adjustable tap weights may be adaptively updated to drive group delay associated with the filter toward a target group delay.
Abstract:
An apparatus (100) and method (200) for detecting the presence of abrupt noise is provided. The method can include estimating (210) a subband energy of the signal, calculating (220) a peak-to-peak energy difference (345), and calculating (230) a spectrum deviation (426). A request to update a noise channel estimate can be declared if a) a total estimated channel energy is greater than a predetermined noise floor (442), and b) the spectrum deviation is less than a predetermined variance threshold (444), and c) the peak-to-peak energy difference is less than a predetermined peak-to-peak threshold (446), or d) if a voice metric is less than a voice level threshold (448).

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for data multiplexing is capable of high-speed operation with acceptable timing margins and has reduced sensitivity to supply voltage, temperature, manufacturing and other variations. One implementation relates to a data multiplexer that has no significant speed limitation associated with the clock-to-data delay of data latches, flip-flops, etc. In one implementation, clock-to-data delay is compensated for by introducing a delay-compensator in the clock line that drives a selector stage of the multiplexer. In one such implementation, a timing relationship is established between clock and data waveforms by timing the data waveforms with a first in-phase clock and operating the delay-compensated selector clock line with a second clock, which is delayed with respect to the first clock. The second clock can have a quadrature-phase delay with respect to the in-phase clock.
