The pleated screen has a first screen end mounted to the end of the at least one window sash and a second screen end mounted to a first end of the window frame so that the pleated screen extends when the at least one window sash is in the open position and the pleated screen folds onto itself when the at least one window sash is in the closed position. The pleated screen can also be used in double-hung windows.
