A method comprises converging resource reservation requests from users, wherein the resource reservation requests contain bandwidth values to be occupied for data transmission; determining a total bandwidth value comprising a sum of the bandwidth values to be occupied for data transmission in the converged resource reservation requests; determining the total bandwidth value is larger than a preset bandwidth threshold of a first transmission path having an identifier (ID) number; and establishing a second transmission path using the identifier (ID) number of the first transmission path distributed to the users, wherein an ID number of the second transmission path is the ID number of the first transmission path and a bandwidth value of the second transmission path is larger than or equal to the total bandwidth value.

A method, device and system for managing resources in networks are provided, which relate to the field of data communication. The method includes the following steps. A resource manager (RM) sends a first request message according to a received resource request message, to request an access node (AN) to perform admission control. After receiving an admission control result indicating whether a resource requested by the resource request message is admitted, the RM sends a response message of the resource request message. Therefore, when multicast/unicast connection admission control (CAC) that supports shared bandwidth is realized, flow fusions of user line configuration between the AN and a broadband remote access system (BRAS, and policy distribution between a resource and admission control subsystem (RACS) and the BRAS are guaranteed; and sharing of bandwidth resources is realized to avoid waste of the bandwidth resources.

A resource initialization method and system, and a network access server are provided. The resource initialization method includes: receiving a network access request transmitted from a User Equipment (UE), where the network access request includes: UE identity (ID) information; locally searching for, according to the UE ID information in the network access request, and find a preconfigured unicast and multicast resource threshold corresponding to the UE ID information; and transmitting the unicast and multicast resource threshold of the UE to a Resource Manager (RM), so that the RM assigns unicast resources and multicast resources according to the unicast and multicast resource threshold. Through the method, the process of obtaining the unicast and multicast resource threshold can be simplified, and thus the efficiency of resource initialization configuration is improved.

A method for processing request for network address/port translation in a communication network includes: firstly, the first network entity transmits a network address/port request message which carries the priority information of the request; after receiving the request, the second network entity allocates the corresponding network address/port for the first network entity according to the priority information in the request message; finally, the second network entity returns the allocated network address/port information to the first network entity, and the allocated network address/port information is used for performing the network/address translation. By realizing the invention, the service having high priority, e.g. emergency service, can be processed for the network/address translation firstly to ensure the reliability of high priority service communication. Furthermore, it can provide distinguished process service of the network address/port translation during a network operation, and thereby enhancing the flexibility of the network operation.

A method for resource admission control process, an Access-Resource and Admission Control Function entity and a Service-based Policy Decision Function entity, wherein the method includes: sending an Admission Request message, which carries the current media stream address information, to an Access-Resource and Admission Control Function entity (A-RACF) in an originating home network from a Service-based Policy Decision Function entity (SPDF) when the SPDF successfully configures an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) connection for a Core Border Gateway Function entity (C-BGF) in the originating home network; and performing a resource admission control process for a corresponding media stream by the A-RACF according to the received Admission Request message. With the method of the present invention, the resource admission control process performed by the A-RACF on the media stream may become meaningful.

The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and discloses a method, an apparatus, and a system for allocating Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) resources to save bandwidth resources in the IPTV service. The method includes the following: a multicast access control entity allocates resources to a unicast access control entity through an intermediate network entity when unicast resources are not enough; and the unicast access control entity allocates resources to the multicast access control entity through the intermediate network entity when multicast resources are not enough. The present invention is primarily applicable to IPTV technologies.

The present invention discloses a method, system, and device for admission control and pertains to the communications field. The method includes: admitting a subscriber for watching a multicast video only if each multicast bandwidth management device has sufficient remaining bandwidth after receiving a multicast video request from the subscriber; refusing the subscriber for watching the multicast video if any multicast bandwidth management device has insufficient bandwidth and fails to borrow bandwidth from a unicast bandwidth management device; and after receiving a unicast video request from the subscriber, admitting the subscriber for watching a unicast video only if remaining unicast bandwidth corresponding to a multicast bandwidth management device in each level is sufficient, or else, refusing the subscriber for watching the unicast video. Through bandwidth negotiation between the unicast bandwidth management device and each multicast bandwidth management device, admission control is implemented.

A method, device, and system for admission control in a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) are provided. The method includes: converging resource reservation requests from users, in which the resource reservation requests contain bandwidth values to be occupied; and determining whether a total bandwidth value in the converged resource reservation requests is larger than a preset bandwidth threshold of a transmission path; if yes, controlling to establish a new transmission path using an identifier (ID) number of the transmission path originally distributed by the system, in which a bandwidth value of the newly established transmission path is larger than the total bandwidth value in the converged resource reservation requests, and the total bandwidth value is a sum of bandwidth values to be occupied for data transmission in the converged resource reservation requests. Therefore, a bandwidth of a transmission path is dynamically adjusted by keeping an ID number of the original transmission path, which effectively utilizes resources of a MAN, ensures quality of service (QoS) of transmission thereof, and decreases burden of the network.

A stochastic time-digital converter (STDC) including an input switching circuit, an STDC array, and an encoder. A clock circuit inputs two clock signals into two input terminals of the input switching circuit; the input switching circuit transmits the two clock signals in a cyclic cross-transposition form to two input terminals of the STDC array, and simultaneously outputs a trigger control signal to the encoder; each comparator in the STDC array independently judges the speeds of the two clock signals and sends the judgement results to the encoder for collection and processing; and the encoder outputs the size and positivity or negativity of the phase difference of the two clock signals. The technical solution utilizes the stochastic characteristic of the STDC to double the number of the equivalent comparators in the STDC array, eliminating the effects on the circuitry of device mismatching and processes, power supply voltage, and temperature.
