    摘要： A syringe adapter element for use in a drug mixing system including a housing element having a syringe port adapted for fluid connection with a syringe and a fluid port adapted for fluid connection with a fluid flow adapter element, a needle and at least one septum disposed in the housing element, the needle having a sealed orientation wherein the at least one septum blocks fluid flow through the needle and a fluid flow orientation wherein the needle punctures the at least one septum so as to permit fluid to flow through the needle, and an anti-separation device adjacent the fluid port, such that when the syringe adapter element is connected to a fluid flow adapter element, the anti-separation device applies a force that acts against separating the syringe adapter element from the fluid flow adapter element.

    摘要： A needle protector device comprising a protector tube slidingly disposed in an outer tube and slidingly disposed over a syringe comprising a needle, the protector tube comprising at least one abutment initially in engagement with the outer tube such that the protector tube is constrained from moving distally with respect to the syringe, a biasing device disposed inside the outer tube operative to provide an urging force on the protector tube in a direction that tends to urge the protector tube distally towards a tip of the needle, and a release mechanism operative to move the at least one abutment out of engagement with the outer tube upon distal pushing of a plunger of the syringe, such that when the at least one abutment is out of engagement with the outer tube, the biasing device urges the protector tube distally towards the tip of the needle.

    摘要： Medical infusion apparatus includes a container for a liquid to be infused, tubing leading from the container to the subject to receive an infusion, a pump for pumping the infusion liquid via the tubing to the subject, and a safety valve connected in the tubing between the pump and the subject. The safety valve is normally closed to prevent free-flow of the liquid from the container, but is automatically opened when a predetermined minimum pressure is applied to the liquid by the pump. The safety valve is also manually deformable to open the valve and to permit priming the apparatus.

    摘要： A blood sampling system includes a blood collecting assembly having an in-line blood sampling unit, a blood sampling container, and a fluid coupling device coupled to the in-line blood sampling unit for coupling the in-line blood sampling unit to the blood sampling container. The fluid coupling device has a housing having an anterior section formed with an open end capable of being applied to the blood sampling unit, a posterior section formed with an open end capable of receiving the blood sampling container, and a transversely-extending member between the anterior and posterior sections. A needle is secured to the transversely-extending member so as to extend axially of the housing. The needle has anterior and posterior sections extending within the anterior and posterior sections of the housing, respectively, both the anterior and posterior sections of the needle terminating sufficiently short of the open ends of the anterior and posterior sections of the housing to be protected against accidentally puncturing a user's skin. Attaching slots are formed on the housing for attaching the housing to the blood sampling unit with the anterior section of the needle penetrating the blood sampling unit perpendicularly to the flow of blood therethrough.
