    Abstract: A seated vehicle comprises a frame, one or more first wheels at a first position relative to the frame, one or more second wheels at a second position relative to the frame, and a wheel-positioning system. The wheel-positioning system includes one or more arms pivotally coupled to the frame, and an adjustment mechanism operatively coupled to a first position of the one or more arms. The one or more first wheels are operatively coupled to a second position of the one or more arms. The adjustment mechanism moves the one or more arms between a first position and a second position so that the one or more first wheels are in a first position relative to the one or more second wheels when the one or more arms are in the first position and are in a second position relative to the one or more second wheels when the one or more arms are in the second position.

    Abstract: A raising wheelchair comprises a wheeled frame and a raising system mounted to the frame and supporting a seat and a backrest. The raising system is configured to be movable between a lowered position and a raised position. The raising system includes at least one double-armed lever including a first lever member and a second lever member, a coupling member fixedly mounted to the frame, wherein the first lever member and the second lever member are pivotally coupled to the coupling member, and a coupling mechanism translationally coupled or pivotally coupled to a second end of the first lever member, pivotally coupled to a second end of the second lever member, and coupled to the backrest. The raising system maintains an orientation of the backrest relative to the ground that is substantially constant throughout substantially an entire range of movement between the lowered position and the raised position.

    Abstract: A cart transporting apparatus including a hitch assembly and a cart coupling assembly. The hitch assembly may include an elongated body, at least one catch member, and a hitch stop. The hitch stop may be, for example, a rotating hitch stop or a sliding hitch stop. The rotating hitch stop may include at least three flanges configured to abut a cart and may further include a detent mechanism. The cart coupling assembly may include at least a first portion and a second portion. The first portion may be pivotally coupled to the second portion. The first portion may include first and second engagement members. The second portion may include third and fourth engagement members.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are various configurable, multifunctional area management carts that can be used to perform various functions in a large area such as a warehouse or retail building, along with various multifunctional area management systems that incorporate such carts to perform such functions. The cart can have a base comprising wheels operably coupled to the base, and a hitch operably coupled to the base, wherein the hitch is coupleable with the autonomous prime mover. The cart can also comprise an onboard processor associated with the base, wherein the onboard processor is in communication with the central processor, and an interface associated with the base, wherein the interface is in communication with the onboard processor. Certain alternative versions of the cart can also have at least one removable scaffold coupleable with the base, the at least one removable scaffold comprising at least one leg and at least one horizontal structure coupled to the at least one leg, and at least one area management instrument removably coupled to the at least one removable scaffold. Other embodiments relate to methods and systems for tracking and transporting items within a commercial space, including transporting items from a storage area to predetermined locations in a retail area with an autonomous vehicle.
