摘要: A lower sump is disposed at a bottom of a housing for an electric motor/stator and drive train of an electric vehicle. The lower sump is configured to accumulate coolant/lubricant fluid that has passed through windings of the electric motor/stator. The lower sump includes a portion configured to receive part of one or more drive gears for the drive train. An upper sump is disposed above the electric motor/stator and drive train and is configured to accumulate at least a portion of the fluid that has been moved by the drive gear(s). One or more electronically-controlled exit or entrance valves are configured to be positioned between the upper sump and one or more spaces adjacent to the windings. The one or more exit or entrance valves are configured to release the fluid from the upper sump to flow through the space(s) adjacent to the windings into the lower sump.

摘要: An apparatus includes at least one camera configured to capture an image of a traffic lane in front of a vehicle. The apparatus also includes a radar transceiver configured to detect one or more target vehicles proximate to the vehicle. The apparatus further includes a path prediction and vehicle detection controller configured to determine first parameters for predicting a path of the vehicle; determine second parameters for predicting the path of the vehicle; predict the path of the vehicle using a combination of the first parameters and the second parameters, where the combination is weighted based on a speed of the vehicle; identify one of the one or more target vehicles as a closest in path vehicle based on the predicted path of the vehicle; and activate at least one of a braking control and a steering control based on a proximity of the identified closest in path vehicle.

摘要: A method includes determining a desired yaw moment to be applied to an ego vehicle during travel. The method also includes identifying yaw moment changes that are achievable using different torque vectoring techniques supported by the ego vehicle. The method further includes selecting at least one of the torque vectoring techniques based on the identified yaw moment changes. In addition, the method includes using the at least one selected torque vectoring technique to obtain the desired yaw moment and create lateral movement of the ego vehicle during the travel. In some cases, a desired response time associated with the lateral movement of the ego vehicle may be used, where steering control provides a faster response time and torque vectoring control provides a slower response time. The at least one torque vectoring technique may be selected based on different energy efficiencies associated with different ones of the torque vectoring techniques.

摘要: An apparatus includes at least one camera configured to capture at least one image of a traffic lane, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) configured to detect motion characteristics, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to obtain a vehicle motion trajectory using the IMU and based on one or more vehicle path prediction parameters, obtain a vehicle vision trajectory based on the at least one image, wherein the vehicle vision trajectory includes at least one lane boundary, determine distances between one or more points on the vehicle and one or more intersection points of the at least one lane boundary based on the obtained vehicle motion trajectory, determine at least one time to line crossing (TTLC) based on the determined distances and a speed of the vehicle, and activate a lane departure warning indicator based on the determined at least one TTLC.

摘要: A park lock for an output drive gear includes a pawl, a rotational cam, and a rotational spring. The pawl has an engagement protrusion that extends outward from a body disposed on a pawl rotational shaft, such that rotation moves the engagement protrusion toward the output drive gear. The rotational cam rotates such that a circumferential side engages with a portion of the pawl opposite the engagement protrusion, causing rotation of the pawl about the rotational pawl shaft to move the engagement protrusion towards the output drive gear. The rotational spring maintains tension on the pawl and cam such that the engagement protrusion maintains an engagement with the output drive gear based on rotation of the cam and a speed of the output drive gear.

摘要: For use as an accessory with a multi-purpose vehicle having enclosed and rooftop cargo storage, a ladder/ramp includes a pair of siderails and crossbars extending between the siderails. A plurality of panels are each rotatably mounted between the siderails adjacent to one of a plurality of the crossbars, with each panel selectively rotatable between a closed position substantially aligned with the siderails and an open position extending outwardly from the siderails. When the panels are in the closed position, the panels and the crossbars collectively form a substantially continuous surface between the siderails on which wheels can be rolled. When the panels are in the open position, the panels each form a step that may support at least about 250 pounds. The panels may snap into place when moved into the open or closed positions, to prevent inadvertent movement therefrom.

摘要: Top side view windows are canted between a vehicle cabin roof and sides along a length of the vehicle, truncating a corner between the roof and sides. The top side view windows may open outwardly from an interior of the cabin, and may open outwardly and upwardly similar to a safari windshield. Hinges and a latch allow movement of the top side view windows, with the latch securing the respective window in an open or closed position. The latch may include a strap with a flexible end wrapping around interior trim, optionally with a magnet at the tip to hold the flexible end in position when wrapped. A rigid portion of the strap holds the window when in the open position, and may include openings receiving protrusions from the interior trim or teeth engaging with a tip of a rachet cam.
