Abstract:
The present invention relates to syntheses of quaternary chalcogenide compounds such as copper zinc tin sulfide in cesium, rubidium, barium and lanthanum containing fluxes. The quaternary chalcogenides are useful as the absorber layer as a p-type semiconductor in a thin film solar cell application.
Abstract:
The present invention is a thick film silver composition for use a solar cell device. The thick film paste composition comprises an electrically conductive silver powder, one or more glass frits, a nano-sized additive wherein the nano-sized additive is selected from metallic zinc, zinc alloys or a mixture of metallic zinc and zinc oxide, all dispersed in an organic medium.
Abstract:
Provided are compositions derived from a polycarboxylic acid, water soluble blue dyes and blue pigments in a fixed weight ratio. The compositions can be used to prepare thermal transfer donor elements that can be used to make blue pixels of a color filter element with improved surface characteristics and lightfastness.
Abstract:
Provided are compositions derived from a polycarboxylic acid, a polyhydroxy compound, a dye and a vanadium catalyst. The compositions can be used to prepare films that can be used to prepare color filter elements via thermal transfer processes.

Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions derived from a polycarboxylic acid, a polyhydroxy compound, a dye and a basic crosslinking agent. The compositions can be used to prepare cross-linked films that exhibit low solvent-swell characteristics. The cross-linked films can be used to prepare color filter elements via thermal transfer processes.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are processes for making quaternary chalcogenide wafers. The process comprises heating a mixture of quaternary chalcogenide crystals and flux and then cooling the mixture to form a solidified mixture comprising ingots of quaternary chalcogenide and flux. The process also comprises isolating one or more ingots of quaternary chalcogenide from the solidified mixture and mounting at least one ingot in a polymer binder to form a quaternary chalcogenide-polymer composite. The process also comprises optionally slicing the quaternary chalcogenide-polymer composite to form one or more quaternary chalcogenide-polymer composite wafers. The quaternary chalcogenide wafers are useful for forming solar cells.

Disclosed herein are processes for making quaternary chalcogenide wafers. The process comprises milling quaternary chalcogenide crystals to form milled particles, and then compressing the milled particles to form a quaternary chalcogenide wafer. The quaternary chalcogenide wafers are useful for forming solar cells.
Abstract:
Processes for making ivalent germanium and tin compounds are provided. The divalent germanium and tin compounds have been found to be efficient catalysts for the formation of polyurethanes.
