Abstract:
A roller rotary offset printing press has at least one coating unit and at least one printing unit. The coating unit comprises at least one coating unit and at least one printing unit. The coating unit comprises at least one chamber blade having a water-based coating and at least one anilox roller. The coating unit is arranged along a transport path of a print stock downstream of the at least one printing unit of the roller rotary offset printing press. At least one pair of two rollers is arranged that together form a coating gap. At least one roller of the at least one pair is in contact with the at least one anilox roller. The conveyed volume, at least on one part of the shell surface of the at least one anilox roller, is filled by an amount of coating, the mass of which, based on this part of the shell surface of the at least one anilox roller, minus a water portion, equals, on average, a maximum of 4 g/m2. A blanket having several layers can be placed or is placed on at least one roller of the coating unit.
Abstract:
A printing machine, which is configured as a printing tower having a plurality of printing units, is usable for double-sided, multicolor printing. A device that is usable for controlling the temperature of the components of one or more of the printing couples is provided. Each printing unit includes a plurality of printing towers that are disposed vertically one over the other. Each of these printing devices has at least one component that is to be temperature controlled and which has a thermal interaction with a fluid of a secondary circuit by way of an inlet. The secondary circuit can have fluid of a primary circuit entered by a feeding station for controlling the temperature. Components that are to be temperature controlled, and that are part of at least two different printing devices, have thermal interactions with two secondary circuits that are different from each other. A selectively actuable electrical heating appliance is provided in the secondary circuit in addition to the feeding station and at least one of valves and pumps and heating appliances that are associated with the two secondary circuits and different from each other are disposed on a machine front side at different heights or can be fed with fluid from the primary units by feeding stations that are disposed at different heights.
Abstract:
An inking unit of a rotary printing press includes a film roller. The film roller has a structured outer surface that has a Shore D hardness ranging between 80 and 90 and a stochastic surface. The stochastic surface is incorporated into the outer surface of the film roller by peening.
Abstract:
A printing unit has at least two lateral frame parts. The distance between which can be changed, relative to each other, in a horizontal direction. Each frame part receives a printing group or parts of such a printing group. At least one of the lateral frame parts is displaceably supported for movement between a functional position, in which the lateral frame parts meet and are affixed relative to one another, and an open position in which the lateral frame parts are positioned at a distance from each other. The support of the at least one movable lateral frame part has at least one sliding surface which is made using a composite plastic that is composed of multiple materials.
Abstract:
A printing unit is comprised of at least two side frame parts whose distance, relative to each other, can be modified in a horizontal direction. Each printing unit receives at least one printing group or parts of a printing group. At least one of the side frame parts can be moved between a closed functional position, in which the side frames are moved together and are fixed relative to one another, and an open position, in which they are spaced from each other. In order to fix or to secure the side frame parts relative to one another, at lease one closure device is provided. The at least one closure device is comprised of a cylinder that can be used to pretension the side frame parts into the closed functional position. The cylinder carries a piston rod that is adapted to carry out a stroke movement. The closure device is configured as a swivel tensioning element. The piston rod is arranged such that it carries out a pivoting movement about a longitudinal axis of the piston rod, in addition to the stroke movement. The piston rod may also be pivoted about a longitudinal arm of the piston rod, in addition to the stroke movement.
Abstract:
A web-fed rotary printing press includes a printing unit which has a specific width for printing a web with six adjacent vertical printed pages in a first newspaper format. A longitudinal cutting device is used to divide the web into three partial webs, each of which having a width corresponding to two of the newspaper pages. A folding assembly includes a group of three fold formers which are located next to each other on a machine plane. The three formers are disposed in the web-fed rotary press in such a that the two distances between the folding planes of two of the formers, which are placed next to each other in pairs, can be modified.
Abstract:
A printing unit of a rotary printing press includes a forme cylinder. An inking unit interacts with the forme cylinder and has a plurality of inking rolls. A dampening unit also interacts with the forme cylinder and has a plurality of dampening rolls. A washing device interacts with at least one of the inking rolls and dampening rolls for washing the inking unit and/or the dampening unit. The inking unit includes a plurality of ink applicator rolls which can be placed directly onto the forme cylinder during printing operation. The dampening unit has at least one dampening rotation applicator roll that can also be placed directly onto the forme cylinder during printing operations. In a washing position, one of the plurality of ink application rolls and the dampening rotation applicator roll are brought directly into contact with each other.

Abstract:
A printing group includes at least one printing group cylinder and one inking system with at least one roller. The printing group cylinder and the inking system are driven for rotation by different drive motors via respective mechanically independent transmissions. Every rotational transmission is configured as a transmission that is closed off from the exterior of the printing group.
