A method and an apparatus for semiactive reduction of pressure oscillations in a hydraulic system of a cold or hot rolling mill or strip handling installation for iron, steel or aluminum materials has the following method steps in the stated sequence:a) detection of a pressure signal by a pressure sensor by permanent measurement of a pressure in the hydraulic system; b) determination of an alternating component of the pressure signal; c) determination of at least one manipulated variable, which varies over time, in real time with the aid of a regulator, taking account of the alternating component; d) application of the manipulated variable to at least one actuator, with the actuator changing a natural frequency of an oscillation damper which is connected to the hydraulic system, and thus reducing an amplitude of the pressure oscillations in the hydraulic system.

An arrangement for handling a paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous-material web in a machine for producing and/or finishing the same, includes an endlessly circulating belt of high flexural rigidity which wraps around a rotatably mounted control roller with an angle of wrap, wherein at least one end of the control roller is displaceably mounted along an adjusting zone for setting the belt tension. The arrangement of the present invention provides an improved running of the belt and the lateral stress of the belt is minimized by the angle of wrap lying between 90° and 180° and the adjusting direction of the control roller lying approximately perpendicular to the bisector of the angle of wrap.

In a method and a device for actively suppressing pressure oscillations or pressure pulses in a hydraulic system of a cold or warm roll train or a strip treatment installation, the following method steps are carried out: a) detection of a pressure signal by means of a pressure sensor by permanent measurement of a pressure in the hydraulic system; b) determination of an alternating component of the pressure signal; c) determination of at least one temporally changing actuating variable in real time with the aid of a regulator, taking at least one setpoint value and the alternating component into consideration; d) loading of at least one actuator with the actuating variable, the actuator changing a volume which corresponds to the actuating variable and is connected to the hydraulic system, as a result of which the pressure oscillations in the hydraulic system are suppressed.
