Dividers separate each receptacle into the three compartments to hold six beverage or other containers in the trays or receptacles. The carriers can be made from a single sheet and advertising printed entirely on one side to facilitate efficient fabrication at a moderate cost.

摘要： The carrier has a central vertical support panel structure, and a pair of foldable receptacles extending outwardly from opposite sides of the vertical support structure. The receptacles have automatically-opening bottom walls with symmetrical bottom panels which overlap to even-out the strength of the bottom walls and minimize areas of reduced strength. At least two opposed bottom panels are shaped to interlock with one another to hold the carrier open once it has been unfolded. Elongated, connected reinforcing flanges strengthen the carrier in the vertical direction.

The receptacles have automatically unfolding bottom walls. Each receptacle has at least one divider member extending upwardly and laterally from the upper edge of one side-wall of each receptacle to a reinforcing panel secured to said vertical support structure. The dividers and reinforcing panels are formed in a foldable blank from a single sheet of material and need no gluing to secure them to the carrier structure.

The carrier is made from blanks in which foldable panels are arranged in linear arrays. In the blanks, the vertical support panels can be folded and bonded to one another back-to-back. This facilitates close nesting of the blanks with one another on a sheet of fiberboard material so as to maximize the number of carriers which can be made from a given area of sheet material. Preferably, the vertical support panels and side panels are joined together serially along fold lines perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the linear array, while flanges forming bottoms for the receptacles are joined to the vertical support panels and side wall panels along fold lines parallel to the longitudinaly axis.

摘要： A carrier blank and method of making a carrier which is highly adaptable for use in different forms with both in-line and right-angle gluers presently in use by many carrier manufacturers. A blank for use with a variety of different right-angle gluers takes advantage of the structure of the carrier which has two separate support panels and receptacles. The parts for the carrier can be formed into a compact lay-out in two parallel arrays on opposite sides of the blank. Cut-outs forming dividers for each of the receptacles are nested and embedded in adjacent parts so as to form integral one-piece dividers. A manufacturer can select amount several different blanks available for use on either in-line or right-angle gluers, all for producing essentially the same carrier.
