摘要： A perpendicular magnetic recording medium includes: a nonmagnetic substrate; a soft magnetic backing layer formed above the nonmagnetic substrate; a nonmagnetic intermediate layer formed on the soft magnetic backing layer; and a magnetic recording layer formed on the nonmagnetic intermediate layer, the magnetic recording layer including a first ferromagnetic recording layer having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, a coupling layer formed on the first ferromagnetic recording layer and made of Pd, Pt or alloy of Pd and Pt, and a second ferromagnetic recording layer formed on the coupling layer and having perpendicular magnetic anisotropy.
