摘要: In a procedure for handling security settings of a mobile end device the operating conditions of the end device are determined. Then minimum security requirements are established according to the operating conditions by evaluating contextual data regarding the operating conditions of the end device. Next it is determined whether the security settings on the end device comply with at a least with the minimum security requirements. Access to applications is allowed or denied according to the security settings on the mobile end device. Should the end device not meet minimum security requirements the user may be prompted to change the security settings on the end device. The method may involve locating the end device and issuing of a warning in the end device does not meet minimum security settings.

摘要: A method and apparatus include a terminal device receiving a first message from a server that hosts a service available to the terminal device. The first message includes information about at least one attribute relating to a changeability of that at least one attribute having been changed. The terminal device sends a second message to the server in response to the first message that includes information identifying the information about the at least one attribute of the first message. The terminal device receives a third message from the server that includes information indicating a changeability setting for each of the at least one attribute identified in the first message. The terminal device updates how a user interface for the service is to be displayed so the user interface is displayed with attributes relating to the service being indicated as changeable or unchangeable in accordance with the third message.

摘要: A docking station and a method for connecting a mobile communication device to an at least partially wire-based communication infrastructure are disclosed. The docking station has a cradle for the storage of the communication device. A detection device detects the presence of the communication device within a selected distance from the docking station and receives authentication information from the communication device. There is also an authentication device for validating the credentials of the communication terminal and for enabling communication with the communications infrastructure on the basis of authentication information. A first interface provides a first wireless communication link with the communication device and a second interface establishes a second wired communication link to the communication infrastructure. A transfer device can switch from the first communication link to the second communication link. A communication system containing the docking station is also disclosed.

摘要: The present invention relates to method of monitoring of monitor objects in a computer-integrated telecommunications environment. The method comprises, in an initial start-up phase: —upon a first-time establishment of an association between a first computing device (9) and a switching device (1) using a communication link, sending a first message (A) from the first computing device (9) to the switching device (1) to request an identification for all monitor objects that are to be monitored by the first computing device (9); —in response to the first message (A), sending a second message (B) from the switching device (1) to the first computing device (9), the second message (B) referring to a third message (C) to follow; —allocating monitor objects which the first computing device (9) is to monitor; and —sending the third message (C) from the switching device (1) to the first computing device (9), the third message (C) referring back to the second message (B), and as a single message including a list (deviceList) of all monitor objects allocated to the first computing device (9) for monitoring, wherein the list includes a parameter block for any allocated monitor object, said parameter block including information for enabling monitoring of the respective monitor object at the first computing device (9). The method may be adapted for additionally including one or more second computing devices (10) for monitoring. The invention also refers to an apparatus and a communication system adapted for implementing the method.

摘要: A communication system includes a redirect server and a deployment server configured to configure different terminal devices so that those devices are able to access a network of a service provider. A terminal device, computer readable medium and method are also disclosed that helps deploy such a service. In one embodiment, a communication system is configured so that a user of a terminal is provided with a code. The code is then communicated to a redirect server via a terminal associated with the user. The redirect server utilizes the code to determine the address of a deployment sever. The redirect server then provides the address to the terminal so the terminal can connect to a configuration management system so that the terminal may communicate with that system to be configured for accessing the network services hosted by the system.

摘要: The invention relates to a presence status determination system and a computer implemented method to determine the presence status of a first user registered in a network and to communicate this presence status to a second user, who would like to make contact with the first user. An input device for a presence status determination device records a predetermined first presence status component determined by the first user and forwards the first presence status component to the presence status determination device (20). A contact person registration device records the identity of the second user and reports the identity to a relationship determination device. The relationship determination device determines, with the aid of a computer, a second presence status component, which considers the social proximity between the first user and the second user. The presence status determination device determines the presence status of the first user taking into account the first presence status component and the second presence status component. Then a presence status communications device communicates the determined presence status of the first user to the second user.
