摘要: A Smart Patch comprising a label layer, an adhesive layer, a release liner layer and a RFID inlay, wherein the release liner comprises a separable inner release liner portion and a separable outer release liner portion; and the RFID inlay is adhered to a back surface of the inner release liner portion. The Smart Patches for uses including mounting to tires and other rubber materials. Methods of manufacturing including subjecting a release liner of the label to a die cut slightly larger than the size of an intended RFID inlay to form the separable inner release liner portion and outer release liner portion and applying a RFID inlay to a back surface of a release liner within the die cut inner release liner portion.

摘要: The problem to solve is how to extend the operating range of small stackable RFID tags when they are placed in an undesirable orientation. Disclosed is an RFID tag that operates in two modes whereby in a first mode the tag has a short range and in a second mode the tag has a long range. The tag is converted from the first mode short range device into the second mode long range device by placing it close to a coupling device. That is in the second mode the tag becomes a two part RFID tag system (1400) capable of communicating with an interrogator antenna (1407).

There is disclosed a RFID interrogator and/or method of interrogating comprising, in one form, an RFID docking station consisting of a stationary RFID interrogator with RFID shelving antennas and mobile cabinets with shelves where the docking station antennas and the cabinet shelves interpenetrate when the mobile cabinet is offered up to the docking station such that the antennas are able to identify tagged items on the cabinet shelves.In another form, an RFID docking station consisting of a mobile RFID interrogator with RFID shelving antennas and stationary cabinets with shelves where the docking station antennas and the cabinet shelves interpenetrate when the docking station is offered up to the shelving such that the antennas are able to identify tagged items on the cabinet shelves.
