摘要： A radial ammonia converter system including first and second heat interchangers and first, second and third catalyst beds. The synthesis gas is heated in said first and second interchangers by catalyst bed effluent prior to full flow through each of the catalyst beds. In one embodiment, two of the catalyst beds are mounted with the first and second interchangers in one vessel; and in another embodiment, the first interchanger and second catalyst bed are mounted in one vessel and the second interchanger and first catalyst bed are mounted in a separate vessel. In both embodiments, the radial ammonia converter system is completed by a third catalyst bed in a separate vessel.

The opening is regulated by a sliding pivoting valve disposed beneath the opening within a trough that is adapted to be connected to a pneumatic conveyer. Movement of the sliding pivoting valve is accomplished by an operating mechanism from either side of the railway car.

摘要： An operating mechanism for sequentially opening and closing hopper discharge door is provided. Longitudinally extending gates are arranged in pairs and are suspended from the hopper by hinge links at one end and by an operator arm located near the center of each gate. A hopper-mounted rotating link is attached to one operator arm and a hopper-mounted bell crank is attached to the other operator arm; both the rotating link and the bell crank are interconnected to sequentially operate the doors. A power cylinder and linkage are connected with the bell crank for automatically opening and closing the doors.

摘要： A hopper car door locking mechanism includes a rotatable latch member which includes a keeper receiving portion. The latch member also includes a positioning portion providing stops which are engaged by a rotatable locking pawl in the closed position of the hopper car door. The rotatable locking pawl includes a cam device which is pivoted in response to reciprocating movement of a rod having a suitable cam surface. The rod also includes a stop device which with the rotatable latch member provides a second stop which therefore provides for double locking of the door.
