    Abstract: A seat pan includes a break over function. The break over enables downward motion of a portion of the seat pan. The downward motion of the portion of the seat pan allows a distance between passenger seats to be reduced while maintaining a minimum required egress distance between the passenger seats. The breakover seat pan assists in egress. The portion of the seat pan may be actuated upwards to increase the length of the seat pan while a passenger is seated. The seat pan thus creates a supported seat surface when an occupant sits on the seat while presenting with a reduced surface when not occupied.

    Abstract: A row of passenger seats convertible to a bed. The row includes a frame assembly supporting a plurality of laterally adjacent passenger seats. In embodiments, each seat includes a backrest having a first portion and a second portion movable relative to the first portion, a seat pan movable between a first position for seating and a second position for sleeping, and at least one link connecting the second portion of the backrest to the seat pan such that the second portion of the backrest tracks with the seat pan. In use, the second portion of the backrest resides in a plane of the backrest when the seat pan is in the first position, and resides in a plane of the seat pan when the seat pan is in the second position. In embodiments, the row provides a provision for sleeping in an economy class cabin of an airliner when occupancy permits seat row conversion.

    Abstract: A quick release system for an interior apparatus is disclosed. The system may include a release assembly including a release handle and release cables. The release handle may pull the release cables when a force is applied. The system may include a latch assembly including latches coupled to the release cables. The latches may include a latch hook positioned in an open position or a closed position. Upon applying the force to the release handle, the latch hook may release the apparatus to cause the apparatus to rotate about an axis. The system may include a locking assembly including a lever and a lock plate. Upon applying the force to the release handle, the lock plate may translate between the locked position and the unlocked position to disengage the lock plate from the tracks to cause the apparatus to translate along the tracks.

    Abstract: A locking assembly of a lavatory door in an aircraft, comprising: a locking mechanism; and an occupancy indicator. The occupancy indicator is configured with a display that enables viewing of a status of the lavatory of availability or is occupancy. The position of the locking mechanism and occupancy indicator has been changed from a higher location on the lavatory door that approximates a line-of-sight from a standing position at the lavatory door to a lower location that approximates the line-of-sight from a seated position at the lavatory door. The display of the occupancy indicator is configured with a plurality of display angles to display the status comprising at least a first display angle to allow viewing from the line-of-sight in the standing position and at a second display angle to allow viewing from the line-of-sight in a seated lower position at the lavatory door.

    Abstract: An aircraft lavatory monument is provided that includes a first lavatory including a first door providing access to the first lavatory from an aisle of an aircraft; a second lavatory proximate the first lavatory, the second lavatory including a second door providing access to the second lavatory from the aisle of the aircraft; and a movable wall disposed between the first lavatory and the second lavatory, the movable wall including a latching mechanism positioned on an exterior edge of the movable wall and accessible from the aisle of the aircraft, where the latching mechanism, responsive to being in a locked position, causes the movable wall to be positioned at a first position separating the first lavatory from the second lavatory and providing privacy therebetween, and where the latching mechanism, responsive to being in an unlocked position, allows the movable wall to collapse thereby forming an enlarged bathroom space.
