    Abstract: A bearing cap (11) fastened to a bulkhead (2) of a cylinder block (1) by bolts to support a crankshaft. A pair of protruding parts (25, 26) that enlarge a joint surface (12) between the bearing cap (11) and the bulkhead (2) in a transverse direction of the crankshaft are formed respectively in a pair of side surfaces (33, 34). A pair of reinforcing parts (35, 36) are positioned between a top surface (19) and the pair of protruding parts (25, 26), protrude from the pair of side surfaces (33, 34) in the transverse direction of the crankshaft, and have a protrusion length that is smaller than that of the pair of protruding parts (25, 26). The stress on the joint portion between the bearing cap (11) and the bulkhead (2) generated by the crankshaft during operation of the internal combustion engine is thereby reduced.

    Abstract: A bulk mixing container that includes a container housing, an agitator mounting structure, an agitator assembly, and a bearing. The bearing is mounted in an opening in the agitator mounting structure with a shaft of the agitator assembly extending through a central bore in the bearing. The bearing has a cylindrical body that includes a flange at one end which engages an upper surface of the agitator mounting structure, and a locking tab at its other end which engages a lower surface of the agitator mounting structure to thereby hold the bearing in place. An O-ring fitted into a groove on the outer cylindrical surface of the body provides a secondary seal against fluid movement between the bearing and agitator mounting structure.

    Abstract: A bearing assembly (20) with a self-lubricated liner interface (70) supported between a spherical outside surface (72) of a sealed agricultural bearing (20b) and a steel containment housing (60,62). The interface (70) includes a lubrication-impregnated plastic interposed between the housing (60,62) and the spherical surface (72) to relieve the bearing from the high forces of shaft misalignment. The plastic liner includes a compressible portion such as radially projecting protrusions (82), O-rings (82a) or other resilient band, or compressible molded plastic (H2) to accommodate varying tolerances between the outside spherical surface (72) and housing cavity surfaces (68) and liner (70) and to bias the liner (70) against the spherical surface (72) to prevent bearing rotation.
