Abstract: A side sill structure for a vehicle includes: a side sill connected to a floor of the vehicle, and extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle; and a rear wheel house connected to a rear end of the side sill. The side sill includes an outer side sill facing an exterior of the vehicle, an inner side sill facing an interior of the vehicle, and a reinforcement disposed between the outer side sill and the inner side sill. The reinforcement extends from a front of the vehicle to the rear wheel house, and a cross-section of the reinforcement is unchanged along a longitudinal direction of the reinforcement.

Abstract: A resin roof is provided with a main roof and a sub-roof. The main roof includes an outer layer fabricated of resin, which structures a roof panel of a vehicle, and an inner layer fabricated of foam resin, which is provided in a predetermined region that excludes a peripheral edge portion of the outer layer. The sub-roof is fabricated of resin and provided at a vehicle body side. In plan view, the sub-roof is provided between a left and right pair of roof side rails of the vehicle. A joining portion at the peripheral edge portion of the outer layer is joined to the sub-roof. Thus, together with the outer layer, the sub-roof structures the roof panel.

A side surface of the energy absorbing member located under the rocker may be inclined to face diagonally upward, and a drain hole may be arranged in the bottom plate at a position above the side surface.

Abstract: A vehicle-body structure that effectively distributes and transfers a side collision load in the vehicle width direction. A cross member includes a cross member top face facing a floor panel, and a cross member front face and a cross member rear face extending from respective ends in a front-rear direction of the cross member top face to the floor panel. A reinforcement member is at a side sill-side end of the cross member top face of the cross member, and a fragile portion extending in the vehicle front-rear direction is provided at a position at a side sill-side end of the cross member and overlapping the reinforcement member. The fragile portion is selected from a cutout, a bead, and a hole. The reinforcement member is a seat mounting bracket, and the fragile portion is on a vehicle-width-direction outer side of a seat mounting surface of the seat mounting bracket.

The vehicle-body structure of the vehicle 1 includes front wheels 2 and side sills 5 in which a side sill outer 52 and a side sill inner 51 form a closed cross-section; the side sill inner 51 includes an inner body 53 in an open cross-sectional shape open on the vehicle-width-direction outer side, and an inner front end 54 connected to a front end of the inner body 53; the side sill outer 52 includes an outer body 55 in an open cross-sectional shape open on the vehicle-width-direction inner side, and an outer front end 56 connected to a front end of the outer body 55; and the inner body 53, the outer body 55, the inner front end 54, and the outer front end 56 are configured in such a manner that deformation strength against a pressure load from the vehicle front side decreases stepwise in this order.
