Abstract:
A motorized jigging device that can be used with conventional fishing rods and reels. It has a drive wheel attached to a spool-shaped eccentric unit by a pivotal attachment. The eccentric unit supports the handle of a fishing rod. The eccentric unit can be pivotally offset from the drive wheel to travel in a circular path producing a jigging movement as the rod pivots vertically on a fulcrum support. Speed is adjustable by the variable speed motor, and the amplitude of the jigging movement can be easily adjusted by simply pivoting the eccentric unit attached to the drive wheel. It is very simple and can be easily used by fishermen of all ages and abilities. It can have a remote controller to operate the device, including switching the device on and off, adjusting the speed, and setting the duration of the on and off periods of the repeating jigging cycles.
Abstract:
A tackle cool box has a main body and a cooler. The cooler is slidably attached to a bottom side of the main body. The cooler has a pair of chambers, and is slidable to each of a closed position, a first open position, and a second open position. In the closed position, the chambers of the cooler are both disposed between a first side and a second side of the main body. In the first open position, one chamber is at least partly disposed outwardly from the first side and the other chamber is disposed between the first side and the second side of the main body. In the second open position, one chamber is at least partly disposed outwardly from the second side and the other chamber is disposed between the first side and the second side of the main body.
Abstract:
A fishing rod holder having a spring base, rod receiver, at least one rod receiver arm and a first spring. The spring base being mountable to a secure mount. The rod receiver including a top and bottom, and an open area within the rod receiver at the top to receive a fishing rod. The at least one rod receiver arm connecting the rod receiver to the spring base, wherein the rod receiver is connected by the at least one rod receiver to the spring base such that the rod receiver can pivot to provide motion during fishing. The first spring mounted between the spring base and the rod receiver to provide resistance to movement of the rod receiver.
Abstract:
A fish keeping and organization system that includes a bucket for storing a floating net assembly and a caddy for carrying the same. The bucket may include a cushioned seat on a lid portion thereof to provide a seat for a user. The floating net assembly may be removed from the bucket and allowed to float in water. The floating net assembly may include a float ring on a top portion and a weighted lower ring to allow the net assembly to become elongated when disposed in water, such as a lake. A drawstring may be included at the lower end of the net assembly for easy removal of fish kept in the net. The caddy can include wheels and a handle for ease of movement, straps for securing the bucket, and fishing pole holders for storing and moving fishing poles.
Abstract:
A fishing pole holder mount for mounting to a watercraft or other structure that is capable of holding more than one fishing pole at the same time, wherein the fishing pole holders are horizontally and vertically repositionable relative to one another and the base of the fishing pole holder mount. The fishing pole holder mount of the present invention also allows a user to specify the number of fishing pole holders removably attached thereto.
Abstract:
An apparatus for coupling a fishing rod to a reel comprises a rod mount for attachment to a reel seat of a fishing pole and a first body defining a first attachment portion. A reel mount includes a rod seat for attachment to a fishing reel and a second body having a second attachment portion configured to be selectively and releasably attached to the first attachment portion of the first body. A support arm includes a retaining portion configured to be selectively and releasably attached to the reel mount. A latch is coupled to the reel mount to secure the reel mount to the rod mount and is configured for being movable from a first position where the rod mount is secured to the reel mount to a second position where the rod mount can be separated from the reel mount.
Abstract:
An anchoring device for supporting a post from a support surface. The anchoring device comprises a base, at least one stanchion extending from the base, and a plate attached to the stanchion opposite the base. A plurality of side supports is included with each side support attached to and extending from the base. The side supports are also attached to the plate and extend past the plate. First and second guides are included with each guide attached to the plate and each side support. Each guide extends away from the base.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to a fishing rod holder having a generally annular mounting bezel which generally surrounds the mouth of a tube for receiving the butt of a fishing rod. The underside of the mounting bezel includes at least one blind hole or projecting mounting stud for receiving a fastener for mounting the rod holder without penetrating the exposed surface of the mounting bezel, providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. A rod engaging member or pin engages grooves in the butt of a rod, allowing it to swivel. The amount of resistance of the rod engaging member or pin to swivel motion can be adjusted.
Abstract:
The floatable, universally mountable fishing rod holder has base incorporating a rod holder for holding the handle of a fishing rod, a floatable portion for floating the fishing rod holder should the fishing rod holder fall into water so it can be recovered, and a plurality of mountings for mounting the fishing rod holder to any of a deck, a dock, a boat, a railing, a post, any of a 2″×4″ to 2″×8″ lumber, over a T joint formed between two perpendicular rails, railings or posts, whether vertically or horizontally oriented, as well as to ground. Said mountings include one or more clamps, straps, a deck plate and ground engaging stake and fasteners and wing nuts for attachment to the base.
Abstract:
A fishing rod holder that is foldable into a compact form, and includes an indicator to show a strike by a fish. The holder has a base with a first lock plate and a second lock plate, a first support having a first lock member, and a second support having a second lock member. The first and second supports are connected to the base such that the first and second supports may be rotated with respect to the base between an open position and a closed position. An indicator is attached to one support and to fishing line such that when the fishing line is pulled away from the reel, the indicator is changed from a first position with respect to the post to a second position with respect to the post.
