摘要： A fishing rod includes an elongate shaft defining an interior space. A stop, a cocking rod, a firing rod, and an energizing element are mounted in the interior space. The cocking rod may transfer energy to the energizing element. A trigger attached to the cocking rod is selectively movable through an opening in the stop for releasing the energizing element's energy. A trigger release assembly proximate the trigger includes a ball bushing slidably coupled to the cocking rod and a button extending through the elongate shaft. A rod tip is included for selectively retaining an item of fishing tackle attached to a fishing line. Means are included for anchoring and locking the position of the fishing line. In use, energy is transferred to the energizing element and then selectively released to automatically cast the fishing line by swinging the rod in a traditional casting motion or by pushing a button.

摘要： The spring loaded fishing rod is a fresh or salt water fishing rod that allows a fisherman to cast without using any swinging force of the arm. This allows the angler more accurate casting as well as aiding him when casting from beneath trees or in dense underbrush. The first version of the present invention is basically a spring loaded fishing rod wherein the top portion of the rod slides into the lower portion of the rod, compressing a spring which propels the lure in the desired direction when the tension is released. The second version of the present invention can be added on to an existing rod and features a spring loaded cartridge with two eye hooks which is suspended from the last two eyes on the existing rod. The end eye slides along the cartridge to compress the enclosed spring. In the third version of the present invention, the spring is loaded in the distal portion of the rod, and the end eye slides through the tube to compress the spring. In all of the versions, the fisherman compresses the spring by winding the lure up to the end eye and then continuing to reel in the line.

摘要： The present invention relates to a controllable fishing lure. The lure is remotely controlled by the angler by a radio control transmitter on the fishing rod or proximate thereto. The lure can be steered by depressing buttons on the radio control transmitter. The depressions cause radio signals to be emitted from the transmitter, these signals corresponding to the movements desired by depressing the buttons. The radio signals from the transmitter are then received by a receiver, through an antenna, in the lure. The received signals are then processed by a controller that activates propellers, disposed on the lateral sides of the lure, whereby the lure is steered to the desired location in the water.

摘要： An improved remote-controlled, aquatic locator apparatus includes a base unit comprising detector controls, steering controls, and propulsion controls; and a mobile unit comprising a transducer, a steering mechanism, and a propulsion mechanism. The detector, steering and propulsion controls communicate with the transducer and the steering and propulsion mechanisms, respectively, by a buoyant multiconductor cable connecting the base unit to the mobile unit. A first modified apparatus includes two transducers, one directed generally downwardly and the other directed generally laterally to simultaneously provide different views. A second modified apparatus provides a base unit and a mobile unit which communicate wirelessly by a pair of transceivers, one in the base unit and the other in the mobile unit. A third modified apparatus includes an extendable rod for maneuvering a mobile unit toward and away from a base unit near a user.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a motorized fishing device having a body which encloses an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion being water-tight and the lower portion having a plurality of sieve-like holes; means for moving the body through the water by jet force, the moving means including a motor within the upper portion of the body and an impeller within the lower portion of the body; means for directing movement of the body in the water; and means for detachably and pivotably mounting the body to a fishing line.The device can run and turn over the towed line without entanglement because of the ability of the detachment means to revolve. Tension applied to the line either intentionally by the user or by a fish that has struck the hook will release the line from the body. The fouling of the propeller by the fishing line or by weeds in the water is prevented by the placement of the impeller inside the body of the device and by the filtering through a sieve-like filter of all water which reaches the propeller.This invention further includes a floatable shield which is capable of sliding along the fishing line between the body of the device and a fish hook. The shield slides over and encloses the hook when the device and the fishing line are in motion. This protects the hook from becoming fouled in heavily vegetated water. When the device is stopped, the weighted hook drops to a predetermined depth in the water while the shield remains on the top of the water, acting as a float and a location indicator for the hook.
