Starting with a blank face the user can add, rescale and position different elements (e.g., eyes, nose, mouth) on the blank face. The user can also change the shape of the avatar's face, the avatar's skin color and the color of all the elements. In some implementations, touch input and gestures can be used to manually edit the avatar. Various controls can be used to create the avatar, such as controls for resizing, rotating, positioning, etc. The user can choose between manual and automatic avatar creation. The avatar editing environment can be part of a framework that is available to applications. One or more elements of the avatar can be animated.

    摘要: Implementations described herein relate to transitioning a computing device between operating modes according to whether the computing device is suitably oriented for received non-audio related gestures. For instance, the user can attach a portable computing device to a docking station of a vehicle and, while in transit, wave their hand near the portable computing device in order to invoke the automated assistant. Such action by the user can be detected by a proximity sensor and/or any other device capable of determining a context of the portable computing device and/or an interest of the user in invoking the automated assistant. In some implementations location, orientation, and/or motion of the portable computing device can be detected and used in combination with an output of the proximity sensor to determine whether to invoke the automated assistant in response to an input gesture from the user.

    摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for using selectable elements to invoke an automated assistant at a computing device. While operating the computing device, a user may not be aware that the automated assistant can be invoked according to certain invocation phrases. In order to inform the user of the functionality of the automated assistant, the user can be presented with selectable elements that can initialize the automated assistant when selected. Furthermore, a selectable element can provide an invocation phrase in textual form so that the user is aware of their ability to invoke the automated assistant by speaking the invocation phrase. The selectable element can be presented at different devices associated with the user, and the automated assistant can be initialized at a device that is separate from the device where the selectable element is presented.
