摘要: A steam generator includes a lower integrated tubesheet and plenum (ITP) configured to receive feedwater and a first set of heat transfer tubes fluidly coupled to a plurality of stubs protruding from a first side of the lower ITP. A second set of heat transfer tubes fluidly couples to plurality of stubs protruding from a second side of the lower ITP. The first set of heat transfer tubes is coiled in a substantially clock-wise direction, and the second set of heat transfer tubes is coiled in a substantially counter-clockwise direction. The steam generator further includes an upper ITP fluidly coupled to the first and second set of heat transfer tubes, wherein the feedwater entering the lower ITP is converted to steam in the first and second sets of heat transfer tubes. The upper ITP is configured to transport the steam away from the steam generator.

摘要: A hydraulic expander for use in a tube containing a U-bend region is disclosed and claimed. The tool includes a sheath for transmitting hydraulic fluid therethrough to an inflatable bladder. The sheath is flexible, allowing it to be inserted through the U-bend region of the tube. The bladder is fluidly connected to the sheath and is thereby in fluid communication with a supply of hydraulic fluid. The length of the bladder and the metal end caps, along with the centering spacers on the expansion sheath, allows it to pass through the U-bend region of the tube such that it can be positioned inside the tube adjacent to a support outside the tube, such as an AVB. Hydraulic expansion of the bladder causes it to exert an outward force on the tube inner surface, causing it to plastically deform such that its outer surface comes into contact with the tube support, such as an AVB. This expansion will increase the friction between the tube and the AVB to minimize the risk of tube vibration damage.

摘要: A method of and an apparatus for supporting walls of the furnace of a thermal power boiler, in which the furnace is suspended to hang on a supporting plane of the upper portion of steel structures especially arranged for the purpose, and the walls, being formed of water tubes, are supported horizontally at least by buckstays positioned substantially perpendicular to the water tubes, and vertical pillars, located outside the buckstays, are attached to the ground or the foundations of the boiler building. At least two of the walls, located on opposite sides of the furnace are supported in such a way that loads directed perpendicularly to the walls are transferred by the vertical pillars to internal stresses of at least one rigid plane surrounding the boiler.

摘要: End support for parallel tubes of a superheater or reheater with a bend tubular portion, a linear tubular portion extending away from each end of the bend tubular portion, and a supporting member formed on a curved section of the bend tubular portion. The tubular portions form a connection between two consecutive parts of a fluid passage. In a preferred embodiment, the tubular portions and the supporting member are integrally formed, molded or cast of a suitable material, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chromium-nickel alloy, or other suitable alloys that have high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. The supporting member is configured to securely attach the end support configuration to the wall support brackets on the wall support tube. Preferably, the supporting member and the wall support bracket slide on one another to provide relative movement between the superheater tubes and the wall support or boiler tubes.

摘要: A robotic apparatus for the cleaning and maintenance of coal fired boilers, which is designed to operate in the high temperature environment of the combustion gasses to effectively clean and remove slag deposits of the boiler heat transfer surfaces by use of a precision directed, low pressure, low flow rate water stream. The robotic cleaning apparatus is comprised of lightweight carbon fiber structural elements, attached to the exterior of the boiler, and cooled by annular pressurized water sheaths impingent on a thin metal skin covering the lightweight structural elements. Multiple articulated joints allow for complete access to the heat transfer surfaces of the boiler. A variety of payloads can be delivered to specific points within the boiler, including imaging systems, cutting, and welding apparatuses. A mathematical state space control matrix allows for optimal positioning and feedback control of motions.

摘要: There is provided an arrangement for mounting the top end of a heat exchange module to and between a pair of opposed support frame surfaces, the arrangement including an elongate transverse beam and a pair of end mounting assemblies. The elongate transverse beam is securable to the top end of the heat exchange module with the longitudinal extent of the transverse beam oriented in the direction from one opposed support frame surface toward the other opposed support frame surface. One longitudinal end of the transverse beam has a left hand overextension portion extending longitudinally beyond the portion of the transverse beam immediately therebelow and the other longitudinal end of the transverse beam having a right hand overextension portion extending longitudinally beyond the portion of the transverse beam immediately therebelow. The pair of end mounting assemblies of the top end mounting arrangement are each securable to one of the opposed support frame surfaces to extend therefrom toward the other opposed support frame surface. Each end mounting assembly is operable to mount a respective longitudinal end of the transverse beam to a respective one of the opposed support frame surfaces.

The planar plates in the attachment module may be rectangular. Or have a notch or recess for clearance. A spacer may be disposed intermediate the planar plates in the attachment module and the spacer may have a thickness substantially equal to the thickness of the web of the buckstay for which the attachment module is intended.
