Preferably the latch has at least two hooks oriented in opposite directions that slide in a generally linear manner between an unlatched and latched position in response to rotation of a pair of actuators located within the latch housing. Preferably, the latch includes reinforcement blocks defining cavities with a portion of the hooks extending into the cavities when the hooks are in the latched position.

    摘要: A vehicle latch including a ratchet (18), a first pawl (20), a cam (22), a second pawl (24) and a drive mechanism (50,52,54,56,58). The ratchet is movable between a striker (12) release position wherein the ratchet is positioned to receive a striker, and a striker holding position wherein the ratchet is positioned to retain the striker. The ratchet is biased to the striker release position. The first pawl is movable between a ratchet locking position wherein the first pawl is positioned to hold the ratchet in the striker holding position, and a ratchet release position wherein the first pawl permits the movement of the ratchet out of the striker holding position. The first pawl is biased towards the ratchet locking position. The cam is operatively connected to the first pawl, wherein the cam is movable between an first pawl enabling position in which the first pawl is enabled to move to the ratchet locking position, and a first pawl disabling position in which the cam positions the first pawl in the ratchet release position. The cam is biased towards the first pawl disabling position. The second pawl is movable between a cam locking position in which the second pawl is positioned to hold the cam in the first pawl enabling position, and a cam release position wherein the second pawl is positioned to permit the movement of the cam to the first pawl disabling position. The second pawl is biased towards the cam locking position. The drive mechanism is configured for moving the second pawl into the cam release position.

    摘要: An exemplary latching mechanism (20) includes a base (22), a detachable portion (24), a rotatable wheel (25), and a resilient member (28). The base has two resilient hooks (224). The detachable portion has two clasping portion (244) for engaging with the resilient hooks. The rotatable wheel has a plurality of hook openers (256) and is rotatable between two states forced by the detachable portion. The resilient member is disposed between the base and detachable portion for providing elastic force. The at least one clasping portion of the detachable portion engages with the at least one resilient hook of the base and the rotatable wheel is at a second state. The rotatable wheel is rotated to a first state and the at least one resilient hook are pushed to deform by at least one of the hook openers of the rotatable wheel.

    摘要: The present invention is an improved multi-point door latch. The door latch is for mounting in a stile of a door and for latching to a corresponding keeper mounted in a corresponding door jamb. The multi-point door latch includes a housing containing first and second gears, each gear being rotatably mounted to the housing, the gears intermeshing to rotate in opposite directions between first and second positions. One of the gears is mountable to a door lock lever to rotate in response to movement of the door lock lever. The door latch also includes a first and second hook pivotally mounted to the housing, each hook being movable between a latching position for engaging the keeper and a non-latching position. The door latch also includes an actuator coupling the first and second hooks to the first and second gears, respectively. The actuator permits the hooks to move between their latching and non-latching positions in response to the rotation of the gears between their first and second positions, respectively.

    摘要: A flush mounted latch for a sliding panel or pocket door includes a snap-in, installation, from the edge of the panel or door. A slide handle operates a pair juxtaposed, pivoting, keeper-engaging, hooks to open them. The handle carries a lock rod which is engaged by a privacy knob operated from the inside of the latch or a lock cylinder/lock plug operated from the outside of the latch. A case/housing encloses the latch mechanism with two walls. Each case wall has side top-edge flanges that seat on respective face of the door. A plurality of screws and threaded studs are utilized to adjust the distance between the two opposing flanged housing walls to accommodate variances in door thickness. A first gasket seals the case/housing adjacent its outside wall. A second gasket seals the case housing and slide handle adjacent the inside wall. Cover plates are included on both sides of the latch.
