    摘要: A connector system for printed circuit boards uses extensions of the traces of the printed circuit board as connector pins by supporting the malleable traces with isolated support pillars. This eliminates the need for electrical junctions between the connector and the printed circuit board. The support pillars provide the necessary mechanical properties for the connector pins. The conductive trace may be adhered to one side of the support or may be draped over the top to cover both sides and may be plated with the material of the support to provide a uniform electrical conductivity over the surface of the formed pin.

    摘要: A wiring unit 1 with a plurality of printed circuit boards 2 which are successively stacked and pin units 3. The printed circuit boards 2 each has a conductor pattern 7 formed on the surface 6a of an insulating plate 6. The conductor pattern 7 is composed of a first plurality of belt-like conductors 11 and a second plurality of belt-like conductors 12. Through-holes 13 are formed at points 14 where the belt-like conductors 11 and 12 cross each other. The pin units 21 each is composed of a conductive pin 20 and a C-bush 21. The C-bush 21 is provided with a pair of spring segment segments 24. The C-bush 21 is press-fit into the through-hole 13 to sandwich the printed circuit board 2 between the pair of spring segments 24. The C-bush 21 is communicated with the conductor pattern 7. The pin 20 is inserted into the through-hole 13 into which the C-bush 21 is press-fit. The conductive pin 20 is communicated with the C-bush 21. In this configuration, the wiring unit can be minimized in production cost and size.

    摘要: A connector assembly is provided with a connector (first connector) to be mounted on a circuit board and a connector (second connector) for holding a flat cable flat wire member). When the two connectors are connected with each other, an end portion of the cable is inserted into the connector to bring conductors of the cable into contact with mating terminals. The connector is provided with a plate-shaped holder, and the cable is supported on this holder in such a state as to be displaceable in widthwise direction. On the other hand, the connector is provided with a pair of locking pieces as a positioning portion. When the two connectors are connected with each other, the respective locking pieces directly come into contact with the cable being inserted into the connector from widthwise outer sides, thereby positioning the cable with respect to the connector in widthwise direction. The respective conductors of the flat wire member can be more precisely and securely brought into contact with the mating terminals.

    摘要: A cable connector for connecting a plurality of coaxial cables to a printed circuit board comprises an insulative housing mounted on a printed circuit board, a plurality of signal terminals, a grounding terminal and a snap cover secured on the housing. The housing defines a plurality of first receiving portions for receiving the coaxial cables. Each signal terminal comprises a solder portion soldered on the printed circuit board and a contact portion extending into the corresponding first receiving portion of the housing. The grounding terminal received in the housing comprises a plurality of solder sections soldered to the printed circuit board and a plurality of tabs extending into the first receiving portions for connecting with metal braids of the coaxial cables, establishing grounding connections. The snap cover defines a plurality of second receiving portions corresponding to the first receiving portions of the housing. The coaxial cables are clamped between the first receiving portions and the second receiving portions thereby pressing conductors of the coaxial cables to contact the contact portion of corresponding signal terminals and preventing displacement of the coaxial cables from the cable connector.

    摘要: An electrical connector for connection with a flexible cable comprises an elongate insulative housing, a plurality of terminals retained in the housing and a stuffer. A pair of retention holes is formed at opposite ends of the stuffer corresponding to teeth at opposite ends of the housing. Each terminal includes a mating end and a mounting tail upwardly deformed. The stuffer is mounted to the housing with the teeth engaging in the holes. An end of the flexible cable is inserted into the connector for contacting the terminals. The stuffer is downwardly pushed to press against the flexible cable to engage with the mounting portions and secure the end of the flexible cable within the housing.

    摘要: An electrical connector for a flexible flat cable comprises a dielectric housing defining an elongate slot, a number of terminals retained in the housing, a shield enclosing the housing, and a stuffer inserted into the slot for biasing an inserted flexible flat cable into contact with the terminals. Each terminal has a tail portion for connecting with a signal conductor of the inserted cable. The shield comprises a pressing plate extending into the slot of the housing. The pressing plate connects with a bottom wall of the shield via a pair of linkers and is parallel to the bottom wall. Each linker is trapezoidal in shape. Each linker connects with the pressing plate at a first junction portion having a small width and with the bottom wall of the shield at a second junction portion having a large width, thereby preventing a top wall of the shield from upwardly deflecting relative to the housing.
