摘要： An apparatus and method for storing an elongated article, such as a light string or the like. The apparatus includes a hollow tube and an elongated sock. The elongated sock is fed onto the hollow tube such that end of said sock is in proximity to the end of the tube. In use, one end of the elongated article is inserted through the hollow tube and is pulled through the tube along with the sock. As the length of the elongated article is pulled through the tube along with the sock, the length of the elongated article is disposed within the length of the sock.

摘要： The present invention is a stay for retaining cables or other long, flexible structures in a coiled or bundled condition. The stay retains an end of the cable in an shape in which the end is wrapped around the coil or bundle when desired, such that a user of the cable can wrap the end of the cable around the coil or bundle and have the end retained in such position without having to knot the end to keep it wrapped around the cable or bundle. The stay may use a ductile or malleable element oriented along an end of the cable, such that the cable end to which the stay is affixed may be bent into a position in which the end is wrapped around a cable coil or bundle. The stay may use a helical form such that an end of a cable forms a helical shape, such that helical shape may be wrapped around a cable coil or bundle to retain the end around the coil or bundle. The stay may use a selectively engageable feature such as alternating hook and pile surfaces on the exterior of the stay to allow successive wraps to be retained against successive wraps.

A light string spool is rotatably attached to the frame. The support frame may be a vertical support shaft and retainer to be used with an icicle light string spool, or a rectangular support frame for use with a standard light string spool. The light string spools include at least one notch or keeper to secure a light string to the spool. All of the aforementioned components can be stored is a lidded storage box capable of holding a plurality of spools of different types and a spool guard to prevent icicles light strings from tangling.

摘要： A cord holding device and method of use. An embodiment of the device includes a sheet of material having a turned end. The turned end is selectively positionable between a closed orientation and an open orientation. In the open orientation, an opening is formed between the turned end and the sheet to allow for the cord to be inserted within an interior section. In the closed orientation, the turned end wraps around the cord to retain it within the device. A method of using the device comprises mounting the device to a position to receive the cord. A holding section is unturned an amount to allow for the cord to be inserted within the interior section of the holding section. After cord insertion, the holding section re-turns and wraps around the cord.
