摘要: A drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament includes a housing having an opening, a dose selector operable to set a dose by rotation relative to the housing, a release member controlling movement of a piston in a dispensing direction, and a display comprising a units number wheel and a tens number wheel which are coupled to each other such that a continuous rotation of the units number wheel is translated into an intermittent rotary motion of the tens number wheel. The release member rotates, during dose dispensing, an angle corresponding to the dose set by the dose selector, thereby allowing a piston to move in a dispensing direction.

The processor arrangement may monitor the time that has elapsed since the medicament dosage was administered, and control a display to show the mediacament dosage and elapsed time to provide a memory aid to the user. In an example embodiment, the sensor arrangement includes an optical encoder and the movable component includes a plurality of light barrier formations. The movable component may be a number sleeve that provides a visual indication of a dose programmed into the injection device.

Rotation of the drive sleeve (40) relative to the housing (10) causes the piston rod (30) to translate relative to the housing (10). The piston rod (30) is coupled to the housing (10) via a threaded interface (16, 31) with at least two different pitches.

The dose setting mechanism includes a primary dose dial component for setting a dose in the primary drug delivery assembly and a secondary dose dial component for setting a dose in the secondary drug delivery assembly. The primary dose dial component and the secondary dose dial component are configured to rotate during dose setting. A gear mechanism is configured such that in a first phase of the dose setting, rotation of the primary dose dial component is transferred to the secondary dose dial component and such that in a second phase of the dose setting, the secondary dose dial component is decoupled from the primary dose dial component such that rotation of the primary dose dial component is prevented from being transferred to the secondary dose dial component.

摘要: An injection device includes a housing, a dose setting member being operable in a first direction to set a desired dose to be dispensed, and a piston rod being adapted to cooperate with a piston so as to cause a set dose to be injected from a cartridge. Further, a first part and a second part of the injection device are provided, which are adapted to perform a relative rotational movement with respect to each other during dispensing of a dose, and which are adapted to provide a non-visual feedback signal to a user only at the end of dispensing of a set dose. The dose setting member is further operable in a second direction which is opposite to the first direction to cancel a set dose. A third part is movable between a dose setting or cancelling position and a dose dispensing position relative to the first part and/or the second part, which third part contacts the first part and/or the second part in its dose setting or cancelling position or in its dose dispensing position.
