    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, at a second protocol layer of the UE and from a first protocol layer of the UE, the second protocol layer being lower than the first protocol layer, an indication of one or more quality of service parameters associated with a data packet to be transmitted by the UE. The UE may identify, from the one or more quality of service parameters, directional coverage information associated with the data packet, the directional coverage information indicative of one or more transmission directions in which the data packet is to be transmitted. The UE may transmit the data packet in accordance with at least the directional coverage information of the one or more quality of service parameters.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques at a user equipment (UE) provide for efficiently falling back to a half-duplex mode from a full-duplex mode when a level of interference is high. In particular, the UE may measure the level of interference at the UE (e.g., caused at least partially by self-interference between transmissions and receptions at the UE), and the UE may fall back to a half-duplex mode if the level of interference is above a threshold. In one example, the UE may transmit channel state information (CSI) reference signals (CSI-RSs) on resources allocated for interference measurements, and the UE may perform measurements on the CSI-RSs to identify a level of interference. In another example, the UE ay transmit a data packet on resources allocated for interference measurements, and the UE may decode the data packet to identify a level of interference.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a buffer status report for a first sidelink transmission to a device. The first UE may receive, from a second UE, sidelink control information scheduling the first UE for a time resource for a second sidelink transmission from the second UE, the sidelink control information including an indication of a serving cell identifier of the second UE. The first UE may detect a half-duplex scheduling conflict, or a possible half-duplex scheduling conflict, based on the serving cell identifier and transmit an indication of the conflict to a serving base station. The base station may then assign, or re-assign, resources for the first sidelink transmission to avoid the scheduling conflict.
