    Abstract: A core yarn manufacturing apparatus includes a draft device that drafts sheath fibers of a core yarn and a core fiber supply device that supplies core fibers of the core yarn, wherein a feed-out path of the core fibers in the core fiber supply device is inclined above the draft device in such a manner that a front of the feed-out path is lower than a rear of the feed-out path with respect to a front surface of a machine frame, and wherein a CSY wind-out device and a CFY yarn guide are provided in a rear upper part of a base frame of the core fiber supply device, the wind-out device supporting a CSY package and winding out an elastic yarn, the yarn guide guiding a filament yarn drawn out from a CFY package located behind the core fiber supply device.

    Abstract: The present invention provides dark opal basil leaves or an extract thereof, containing anthocyanin dye derived from the dark opal basil, in concentrated form.The process of the present invention comprises steps of (1) adding salt to dark opal basil leaves, (2) dehydrating the dark opal basil leaves obtained in step (1), and (3) immersing the dark opal basil leaves obtained in step (2) in an organic acid solution. In step (2), the dark opal basil leaves to be dehydrated are physically treated to such an extent that the cells thereof are broken or not broken.

    Abstract: A cylindrical punch member equipped at the leading end thereof with a hole-punching blade is movably supported on a base frame in a hole-punching direction. A drive means is equipped that applies thrusting force to the punch member; a cam follower member disposed between the base frame and punch member engages a cam means disposed at either the base frame or punch member. An oblique cam surface inclined at a predetermined angle with regard to a hole-punching direction is equipped in cam means to give rotational drive force around an axis of rotation to the punch member that is moved in the hole-punching direction by the drive means. This configuration causes each of a plurality of cylindrical punch members to rotate around their axes of rotation when moved in a hole-punching direction by drive means thereby punching a hole in a sheet with a reduced shear force; the centrifugal force of that punch member rotation causing paper cutting debris to be scattered evenly under the punch member.

    Abstract: An automatic document feeder includes a paper supply inlet and a first paper ejection outlet disposed above the paper supply inlet, a paper supply path for leading a document supplied from the paper supply inlet to a reading section, and a paper ejection path for leading the document from the reading section to the first paper ejection outlet. The automatic document feeder further includes a circulation path situated between the paper ejection path and the paper supply path for reversing a transfer direction of the document, and a document reversing path connected between the paper ejection path and a second paper ejection outlet different from the first paper ejection outlet for reversing front and rear surfaces of the document. The transfer direction as well as the front and rear surfaces of the document can be changed, as desired.
