Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for grouping wireless devices of a cell of a communications network. A method is performed by a system in the communications network. The method comprises acquiring user network data for wireless devices in a cell of the communications network and cell network data for the cell. The method comprises determining groups for the wireless devices and assigning each one of the wireless devices to one of the groups using unsupervised machine learning with the user network data and the cell network data as input. The method comprises assigning a wireless device entering the cell to one of the groups using supervised machine learning with user network data of said wireless device and the cell network data as input.

Abstract: A method for partitioning of input vectors for coding is presented. The method comprises obtaining (210) of an input vector. The input vector is segmented (220), in a non-recursive manner, into an integer number, NSEG, of input vector segments. A representation of a respective relative energy difference between parts of the input vector on each side of each boundary between the input vector segments is determined (230), in a recursive manner. The input vector segments and the representations of the relative energy differences are provided (250) for individual coding. Partitioning units and computer programs for partitioning of input vectors for coding, as well as positional encoders, are presented.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein relating to building and using one or more databases storing position-pair-dependent and/or node-dependent interference related information in a cellular communications system. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a node associated with one or more cellular communications networks includes obtaining position-pair-dependent interference related information for pairs of positions. The position-pair-dependent interference related information includes, for each pair of positions including a first position and a second position, information regarding interference caused by wireless transmissions originating at the first position to wireless receptions at the second position. The method further includes storing interference related information including the position-pair-dependent interference related information in one or more databases and providing access to the one or more databases. The database(s) enable, for example, improved location-based Radio Resource Management (RRM).

Abstract: A POC recalculation value is retrieved by a decoder from an encoded representation of a RAP picture in a base layer of a video stream comprising pictures in multiple layers. POC values of reference pictures in a DPB of the decoder are recalculated using the POC recalculation value. By signaling the POC recalculation value in the RAP picture, which enables the decoder to correctly handle video streams with non-aligned RAP pictures.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for estimating one or more channel properties of a downlink from a cellular communications network based on quasi co-located antenna ports with respect to the one or more channel properties. In one embodiment, a user equipment receives a downlink subframe including a downlink control channel from the cellular communications network. The user equipment estimates one or more large-scale channel properties for an antenna port of interest in the downlink control channel based on a subset of reference signals that correspond to antenna ports in the cellular communications network that are quasi co-located with the antenna port of interest with respect to the one or more large-scale channel properties. As a result of using the quasi co-located antenna ports, estimation of the one or more large-scale channel properties is substantially improved.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a user equipment (UE) operable to transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) on a plurality of carriers comprises: obtaining an indication to perform SRS carrier-based switching for a carrier; adapting a parameter for uplink 5 transmit power control in response to the obtained indication; and transmitting an uplink signal using the adapted parameter while meeting at least one predetermined uplink power control requirement. According to some embodiments, a method for use in a network node operable to receive a SRS on a plurality of carriers comprises: sending, to a UE, an indication to perform SRS carrier-based switching for a carrier; and receiving, from the UE, an uplink signal based 0 on the parameter for uplink transmit power control adapted in response to the sent indication, wherein the uplink signal meets at least one uplink power control requirement.
