    Abstract: There is provided mechanisms for grouping wireless devices of a cell of a communications network. A method is performed by a system in the communications network. The method comprises acquiring user network data for wireless devices in a cell of the communications network and cell network data for the cell. The method comprises determining groups for the wireless devices and assigning each one of the wireless devices to one of the groups using unsupervised machine learning with the user network data and the cell network data as input. The method comprises assigning a wireless device entering the cell to one of the groups using supervised machine learning with user network data of said wireless device and the cell network data as input.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein relating to building and using one or more databases storing position-pair-dependent and/or node-dependent interference related information in a cellular communications system. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a node associated with one or more cellular communications networks includes obtaining position-pair-dependent interference related information for pairs of positions. The position-pair-dependent interference related information includes, for each pair of positions including a first position and a second position, information regarding interference caused by wireless transmissions originating at the first position to wireless receptions at the second position. The method further includes storing interference related information including the position-pair-dependent interference related information in one or more databases and providing access to the one or more databases. The database(s) enable, for example, improved location-based Radio Resource Management (RRM).

    Abstract: An access node, AN, may be configured to communicate wirelessly with a wireless device (WD). The AN can transmit a first synchronization signal block having a first format. The AN can also transmit a second synchronization signal block of a second format, the first synchronization signal block including a first format different from the format of the second synchronization signal block. The first synchronization signal block can include an extended primary synchronization signal block that can be used to synchronize disadvantaged user equipment (e.g., user equipment experiencing low signal-to-noise ratio).

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for estimating one or more channel properties of a downlink from a cellular communications network based on quasi co-located antenna ports with respect to the one or more channel properties. In one embodiment, a user equipment receives a downlink subframe including a downlink control channel from the cellular communications network. The user equipment estimates one or more large-scale channel properties for an antenna port of interest in the downlink control channel based on a subset of reference signals that correspond to antenna ports in the cellular communications network that are quasi co-located with the antenna port of interest with respect to the one or more large-scale channel properties. As a result of using the quasi co-located antenna ports, estimation of the one or more large-scale channel properties is substantially improved.

    Abstract: According to some embodiments, a method for use in a user equipment (UE) operable to transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) on a plurality of carriers comprises: obtaining an indication to perform SRS carrier-based switching for a carrier; adapting a parameter for uplink 5 transmit power control in response to the obtained indication; and transmitting an uplink signal using the adapted parameter while meeting at least one predetermined uplink power control requirement. According to some embodiments, a method for use in a network node operable to receive a SRS on a plurality of carriers comprises: sending, to a UE, an indication to perform SRS carrier-based switching for a carrier; and receiving, from the UE, an uplink signal based 0 on the parameter for uplink transmit power control adapted in response to the sent indication, wherein the uplink signal meets at least one uplink power control requirement.
