摘要: Reflection of light from a surface is sensed by emitting light from a light emitting diode and focusing the light using an aspherical emitter lens to illuminate a reflecting surface. Light reflected by the reflecting surface is focused onto a photodetector using an aspherical collector lens. The light emitting diode is displaced from the optical axis of the aspherical emitter lens and the photodetector is displaced from the optical axis of the aspherical collector lens.

摘要: Multiple devices that operate at different wavelengths of light are incorporated into a single composite assembly to reduce the amount of space that is needed to incorporate the assembly into a consumer electronics device. In addition, by implementing the devices in a single composite assembly, costs associated with manufacturing, assembly and shipping the assembly can be reduced. The composite assembly includes filtering mechanisms that prevent undesired wavelengths of light from impinging on the devices.

摘要: A bridge includes a memory to establish a transaction table and write combining windows. Each write combining window is associated with a cache line and is subdivided into subwindows; and each of the subwindows is associated with a partial cache line. The bridge includes a controller to determine whether an incoming partial write transaction conflicts with a transaction stored in the transaction table. If a conflict occurs, the controller uses the write combining windows to combine the partial write transaction with another partial write transaction if one of the partial write combining windows is available. The controller issues a retry signal to a processor originating the partial write transaction if none of the partial write combining windows are available.

摘要: An optical communication device having multiple light sources under a single lens. The optical communication device has two light sources. The optical communication device has a lens optically coupled to the two light sources. The lens is shaped to direct light from the two light sources towards an axis of the lens. The optical communication device further has a third light source located below the approximate center of the lens.

摘要: A cam-follower release mechanism for fiber optic modules with side releases. The cam-follower release mechanism translates rotational motion into linear motion. The release mechanism has a rotatable bail lever with a cam lobe that pivots about a pivot point and presses against a bearing surface of the fiber optic module. The release mechanism further has a base with a pin about with the rotatable bail lever may pivot and a sliding fork with sliding side actuators and delatch actuators at each end. As a follower, the base and sliding fork is linearly pulled as the rotatable bail lever is rotated. As the sliding fork is pulled out, the delatch actuators at each end push in on side tabs of a cage into which the fiber optic module may be inserted. The release mechanism further has a spring to apply a force against the rotation of the rotatable bail lever to return it to home and retain the release mechanism moveable coupled to the fiber optic module. The fiber optic module further includes opto-electronic devices mounted to a printed circuit board, and a housing.

摘要: A pallet includes a plurality of hinges having a flip member which is easily rotated by hand between a first unextended position and a second extended position. When the flip member is flipped into the unextended position, it uncovers a cavity a pallet leg creates. Nesting of an empty pallet is possible when the flip members are in this position. Bar members preferably serve as a guide and glide the receiving pallet to slide in position during the nesting process. The pallet is stackable when the flip members are flipped into an extended position, covering up the leg cavities. Each of the hinges acts as a foot to support members of the receiving pallet. The pallet platform is preferably made of a sheet of metal. An angular bar member is preferably attached to the rectangular framework and serves as a border for the pallet. Holes are preferably found within the angular bar member. These holes allow manual lifting of the pallet using hooks. Rings at the base of the rectangular framework preferably allow rubber blocks to be strapped across the pallet from both sides. The whole pallet is preferably galvanized for use in packaging rubber blocks.

摘要: A nesting stacking crate comprises a base member and upwardly outwardly flaring collapsible side walls and end walls, as well as semi-hexagonal corner members, all terminating at the top in a top rim. Attached to the top end of each hexagonal corner member is a stacking-support member consisting of a support housing, preferably shaped substantially like a capital H, and a support blade hingedly connected thereto which flips about the crossbar of the H, between a nesting condition and a stacking condition. In the nesting condition, the blades are rotated outwardly downwardly and lie extrinsic to the interior of the crate, thus allowing another like crate to be nested inside. In the stacking condition they are rotated inwardly horizontally pointing generally diagonally towards the opposite corner of the crate. In that condition the support blades provide a support base for another like crate to be stacked on top for transportation and storage of goods. In such condition the hexagonal corners absorb the weight of the stacked crate, the corners being stronger than conventional half-square corners. Preferably, the base has, attached to its lower surface, hollow feet adapted to receive the blades of a forklift truck, and such feet have indentations adapted to receive the support blades of a crate beneath when the latter is in the stacking condition.
