摘要: Solvent mixtures for extractive distillation are described. One solvent mixture consists essentially of: a first solvent having a higher octane-to-benzene relative volatility than sulfolane in a 90% benzene 10% octane feed mixture at 150° C. and 24:1 solvent-to-feed weight ratio; a second solvent having a higher octane-to-benzene relative volatility than sulfolane in a 50% benzene 50% octane feed mixture at 150° C. and 3:1 solvent-to-feed weight ratio; and optionally an additive; wherein the solvent mixture has a higher octane-to-benzene relative volatility than Sulfolane in a combined benzene and octane feed at 125° C. and 3:1 solvent-to-feed weight ratio wherein a benzene weight ratio is higher than 30%. Another solvent mixture consists essentially of: a base solvent selected from the group consisting of sulfolane, N-methyl-pyrrolidone (NMP), N-formylmorpholine (NFM), dimethylformamide (DMF), glycol derivatives, or combinations there along with first and second co-solvents. Methods of extractive distillation are also described.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for purifying a pyrolysis oil originating from the pyrolysis of waste including plastics by liquid/liquid extraction. This extraction is performed by means of a polar solvent that is immiscible with pyrolysis oil, for which a recovery rate is obtained greater than or equal to 0.95, this recovery rate being defined as the ratio of the extract volume over the initial volume of solvent, this extract being a phase containing the solvent which is immiscible with pyrolysis oil, recovered after agitation then decantation of a mixture of one part by volume of solvent with twenty-five parts by volume of pyrolysis oil at atmospheric pressure and at a temperature of 20° C.

摘要: The invention provides a method of desulfurizing an oil composition, the method comprising: flowing an oil composition comprising sulfur through a conduit comprising a constricted region, wherein oil-phase bubbles form in the constricted region and collapse in a turbulent zone downstream of the constricted region; contacting the oil composition with an immiscible deep eutectic solvent in the turbulent zone, thereby extracting at least a portion of the sulfur from the oil composition into association with the deep eutectic solvent; and separating the deep eutectic solvent and the extracted sulfur from the desulfurized oil composition.
