    摘要: A system is provided that increases the spindle stiffness of a disk drive while optimizing power consumption. A multipurpose bearing provides axial stiffness and enhanced stiffness against radial and pitch loads applied to the spindle. When used in combination with a journal bearing, conventional thrust bearings may be eliminated without sacrificing overall stiffness. As a result, the height of the disk drive may be reduced, thereby making the system desirable to be used in smaller electronic devices.

    摘要: A motor includes a base, a stator, a retaining seat, a bearing, a retaining ring and a rotor. The base has a shaft tube with an assembling hole. The stator is mounted around the shaft tube. The retaining seat, bearing and retaining ring are received in the assembling hole. Outer diameters of the retaining seat and the retaining ring are equal to a diameter of the assembling hole. The bearing is sandwiched and positioned between the retaining ring and the retaining seat. Radial and axial movement of the retaining seat, the bearing and the retaining ring is avoided effectively after being mounted into the shaft tube, so that the rotor is smoothly coupled to the retaining ring, the nearing and the retaining seat. Consequently, convenience of assembling and a simplified structure are provided.

    摘要: A dynamic bearing device is provided, which can prevent abrasion powder generated when a sealing member is pushed into an inner circumference of a housing from entering the housing. A sealing member is inserted into an inner circumference of an opening of a housing with an adhesive interposed therebetween The adhesive moving forward in a pushing direction of the sealing member is retained by a capillary action in a lower tapered space between an outer circumference of the sealing member and the inner circumference of the housing. Abrasion powder is captured by the adhesive in the tapered space so as to be confined in the adhesive as a result of the setting of the adhesive.

A radial spacing between an inner periphery of a through-hole of the retaining member and the inner periphery of the longitudinal hole of the bearing in a radial direction is not greater than an axial spacing from the first end face to the second peripheral edge. The retaining member further includes a plurality retaining plates. The recessed portion provides a space sufficient to allow deformation of the retaining plates when inserting a shaft through the through-hole into the longitudinal hole of the bearing.

The rotor includes a shaft rotatably extending through the bearing and having an annular groove in a neck shape formed on an outer periphery thereof. The stator includes an assembling hole receiving the outer periphery of the shaft tube, with the stator including an upper bobbin, a lower bobbin, a plurality of silicon steel plates sandwiched between the upper and lower bobbins, and a winding wound around the plurality of silicon steel plates. The upper bobbin includes an abutting member formed on an inner periphery thereof. The abutting member abuts against the bearing and extends into the annular groove of the shaft to avoid the bearing and the rotor disengaging from the shaft tube. Consequently, assembling convenience and rotating stability of the motor are enhanced.

    摘要: A set of radial dynamic pressure generating grooves constitute a radial bearing, and an entire width (L) of the radial dynamic pressure generating groove is reduced. A set of thrust dynamic pressure generating grooves constituting a thrust bearing are formed so that an area where a maximal thrust dynamic pressure is generated (diameter) is increased, and a bearing angle stiffness of the thrust bearing is increased. The thrust bearing having the high bearing angle stiffness shares a moment load applied to a shaft to thereby compensate for a bearing angle stiffness of the radial bearing whose bearing stiffness is small because an entire width of the radial bearing is small. Thus, a thin-shaped hydrodynamic bearing capable of withstanding a large moment load is obtained.
