摘要: A power supply apparatus in which a battery and a circuit wiring board or boards are electrically connected by using lead terminals. The lead terminal is adapted so that thickness of a welding portion is caused to be thinner than the thickness of a conductive portion. Thus, current for welding flows to much degree in a thickness direction so that electric resistance of the welding portion becomes large, and heat based on the electric resistance also becomes large. From this fact, welding nugget can be enlarged. As the result of the fact that large welding nugget is formed, the lead terminals are welded to terminal portions of the battery with high reliability.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a power supply apparatus in which a battery and a circuit wiring board or boards are electrically connected by using lead terminals. The lead terminal (3) is adapted so that thickness of a welding portion (3a) is caused to be thinner than the thickness of a conductive portion (3b). Thus, current for welding flows to much degree in a thickness direction so that electric resistance of the welding portion becomes large, and heat based on the electric resistance also becomes large. From this fact, welding nugget (63) can be enlarged. As the result of the fact that large welding nugget is formed, the lead terminals are welded to terminal portions (37a) of the battery (2) with high reliability.

摘要: IMPROVED RESISTANCE WELDING DEVICE that includes a mobile electrode in a support assisted by a spring, gas cylinder or expansion element, allowing its movement on being compressed so that the time lapse for the welding is sufficiently long to be effective, without altering the movement cycle of the press into which it is installed. The support has one or several columns, the electrode being supported sliding along one and with a rod housed on the inside of a positioning device, also axially movable, into which the small parts to be welded are received through a conduit. The positioning device, made from an insulated material, preferably ceramic, has some fixing clamps for said part until the welding is made pushed by the electrode rod through a lower window.

摘要: A method for resistance welding/brazing a tube to a container. A tube is obtained having an axially-extending first portion and a tube form which extends transversely from the first portion. A container is obtained having an orifice. A support tool is obtained with an expandable head. The tube form is positioned proximate the outer surface of the container and surrounding the orifice. The unexpanded head of the support tool is passed through the orifice of the container. The head of the support tool is expanded inside the container. The inner surface of the container is supported with the expanded head of the support tool. A resistance current path is created through the tube form and the container creating a weld/braze zone which includes at least some of the tube form and at least some of the container.

摘要: A method and apparatus for projection welding a metal fastener (e.g., a nut) to a metal member (e.g., a sheet) is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first electrical contact and a locator assembly having a second electrical contact. For welding the fastener to the member, the locator assembly aligns through-holes of the fastener and sheet and a current is passed through protrusions of the fastener. In turn, the protrusions are softened to bond with the member.

摘要: A technique for resistance welding an attachment such as a collar or base ring to a tank head section by causing welding current to flow through weld protrusions disposed on the attachment and which are pressed against the tank section. Electrodes are contacted to the attachment and the tank section in such a manner to provide for substantially equal welding current paths through the protrusions.
