摘要： A dental articulator comprising upper and lower bows connected by vertical support members, the upper bow being pivotally connected to the support members for raising and lowering relative to a planar mounting table which is positionable between the bows and parallel to the lower bow, the mounting table having a mounting bar extending perpendicularly from one surface and the mounting table being reversible to dispose a desired surface thereof uppermost and the table also having a supporting pin detachably connected to the forward end thereof for reversible positioning to extend from either surface of the table, and the upper bow also having adjustable pivot means operable selectively to effect lateral movement of the upper bow relative to the table and lower bow when in one position of adjustment but only permit pivotal movement when in a second position.

摘要： A dental articulator is disclosed, having a lower frame with a pair of condyles thereon defining a hinge axis, an upper frame carrying a pair of guides for slideably and pivotally receiving the condyles to permit the relative positions of the upper and lower frames to simulate movements of the human jaw, and retainers outboard of the condyles on opposite sides of the articulator connecting the upper frame to the lower frame and urging the upper and lower frames into a centric relationship while permitting the frames to be moved to simulate human jaw movements. The retainers are preferably pivotally joined to the upper frames on the hinge axis and may be loops of elastomeric material. A sleeve may be provided on each retainer so that a loop of the retainer protrudes from each end of the sleeve. The sleeve and retainer function as a hinge when pivoting the articulator to a fully opened position. An incisal pin is provided at the front of the articulator extending downwardly from the upper frame and supported by the lower frame. A forward-extending horizontal guide rod is provided along side the incisal pin for locating the upper and lower frames in a non-centric relationship.

摘要： A dental articulator, having a spatially oriented mounting table permanently bonded to the one frame, allows for the positioning of mounting plates on the upper and lower frames of an articulator. The first mounting plate is oriented exactly the same on the same frame of each articulator. The mounting plate table, capable of orienting the second mounting plate within a range of positions, is fixed both vertically and horizontally by means of a special mounting block. Therefore, the mounting plate table being fixed, mounted dental casts on the mounting plates may be transferred from one articulator to the other without introduction of vertical or horizontal errors. As a result the relationship of the upper mounting plate to the hinge axis will be the same for each articulator. Additionally, the vertical and horizontal relationship of the lower mounting plate to the upper mounting plate will be the same. This then allows reproducible dental casts which can be transferred from one articulator to another so long as the articulators are manufactured in the same way.

摘要： An articulator for use in making dentures or parts thereof comprises two principal members that are movably interconnected by means of a condylar mechanism. Each of two condylar track members of said condylar mechanism is pivotable around two different axes for allowing different attitudes of the condylar track to be set, and there is a lock for locking each of said condylar track members in a desired attitude. This lock comprises for each condylar track member a locking mechanism enabling simultaneous locking against movement around the two axes, as well as enabling simultaneous unlocking for allowing movement around either or both of these axes.

摘要： The articulator is the type which has an upper part with a horizontal branch and a lower part with a horizontal branch below and substantially parallel to the upper branch. The upper part has a pair of spaced wings connected to the rear of the upper branch and angling upwardly at a small angle therefrom as well as an adjustable incisor pin extending downwardly from the front end thereof. The lower branch has a pair of spaced articulator pins extending upwardly into slots in the wings of the upper part as well as an incisal tray angling downwardly from the front end to receive the incisal pin. Thus the upper part is supported in the lower part as a tripod with a relatively low center of gravity. A mold is provided to be connected to the articulator.

摘要： There is disclosed a dental articulator of the Arcon type having a centric lock mechanism including a pin carried on the upper frame member and a cooperative hook arm which is pivotally mounted on the lower frame member and movable between pin engaging and detenting and pin releasing positions. The latch mechanism is spring biased to restrain the hook arm in the pin detenting position from which it can be released by pressure application to overcome the resilient bias of a compression spring loading on the mechanism. The latch mechanism is operative to lock the upper and lower frame members together when the frame members are in their closed or centric position and when the frame members are open, freely permitting rotational movement of the members between the open and closed positions while, nevertheless, retaining the frames interlocked. The articulator is also disclosed with a simple fossa guide structure allowing for a limited degree of freedom of movement without any adjustment capability and, in an alternative embodiment, with fossa guides permitting the independent adjustability of the angle of the eninentia, immediate and progressive side shifts and, optionally with an entirely adjustable fossa including adjustable top and/or rear fossa guides.

摘要： A dental articulator that simulates jaw movements in the same directions as the natural jaw. A lower jaw element is suspended from a fixed base by two pivots movable relative to the frame along restricted paths. An upper jaw element is pivotally supported by the base about a fixed axis coincident with one position of the movable pivots. Each jaw element forms a support for a dental arch cast. Each pivot can be individually locked in a fixed location and the lower jaw element can be released from the pivots for limited relative translational and rotational movement and adjusted to a new relationship with the pivots. Adjustable cam surfaces on the frame control lateral movement of the lower jaw element. A rigid link pivotally and releasably connected between the frame and lower jaw element restrains movement and establishes a chewing-type pivoted action. A plate on the lower jaw element is movable rectilinearly so that the anterior-posterior closed position of the teeth can be adjusted without changing the pivot axis. Plates with peripheral spongelike wall portions forming enclosures for plaster are adapted to be secured to the supporting jaw elements. The wall of each plate serves to support a dental arch cast and acts both as a plaster dam and as a compressive spring when opposed plates and dental arch casts are pressed in opposition on a bite registration to secure the cast to the articulator. An adjustable stop is secured to one support element for contact with the other support element to limit proximity of the jaw elements and is removable without changing its effective length.
