摘要： A slider is adapted for use with a reclosable fastener for bags containing material. The reclosable fastener includes a first track and a second track. The first track includes a first profile, while the second track includes a second profile. The first and second profiles are releasably engageable to each other. At least one of the first and second profiles has an interior portion. The slider comprises a body that includes a top, a first side, a second side and a separation member on an underside of the top. The separation member is adapted to open and close the fastener and includes a slider finger that extends generally downwardly from the top. The slider finger extends into an interior portion of the first profile so as to assist in removing material trapped in the interior portion of the first profile when closing the reclosable fastener.

摘要： A closure device (100) is provided for use with storage containers (50), such as plastic bags. The closure device (100) includes interlocking fastening strips (120, 130) having first and second ends and a slider member (200) movably installed upon the interlocking fastening strips to facilitate the occlusion and deocclusion thereof. The slider member (200) includes a pair of spaced-apart side walls (210, 220) which are positioned on opposite sides of the interlocking fastening strips (120, 130) and an intermediate body portion (240) therebetween which is positioned upon the interlocking fastening strips. The slider member (200) also includes notches (250, 260) formed therein which are adapted to engage cooperating protrusions (280, 290) formed on the interlocking fastening strips (120, 130) at the first and second ends (111, 112) thereof to obstruct movement of the slider member (200) beyond the first and second ends (111, 112).

The slider includes upper closure bars vertically and longitudinally spaced from lower closure bars for occluding the upper and lower opposing interlocking profiles, respectively, and a separator member for separating only the upper opposing interlocking profiles. The lower closure bars are disposed at the opening end, and the upper closure bars are disposed at a closing end of the slider opposite the opening end. A longitudinal retention member extends longitudinally from the separator finger toward the closing end below the upper closure bars, and a lateral retention member extends laterally outwardly from the separator member above the lower closure bars. The longitudinal retention member and the lateral retention member each engages an underside of the upper pair of interlocking profiles to help retain the slider on the closure mechanism.

摘要： A slider-zipper assembly for reclosable packaging in which the slider is coupled to the top portions of the zipper parts. The zipper can be either a flanged zipper or a string (i.e., webless) zipper. In one embodiment, the slider has a pair of diverging profiled projections that fit in and interlock with respective profiled grooves in the zipper parts. In another embodiment, the slider has a pair of diverging profiled grooves that receive and interlock with respective profiled projections that project upwardly from the zipper parts. Alternatively, the slider could have one projection and one groove for interlocking with the respective zipper parts. The diverging profiles on the slider cause adjacent sections of the zipper to open as the slider is moved in the zipper opening direction. Alternatively, the projections on the slider could be discontinuous.
