摘要: A disposable attachment of the handheld surgical instrument having a distal section extending from the handpiece is provided. The disposable attachment has a proximal tube extending from the disposable attachment. The distal section includes an outer tube and a flexible shaft disposed within the outer tube. The flexible shaft couples with the proximal tube via a proximal coupler at a proximal end of the flexible shaft. The distal section also has an irrigation hypotube, a cooling orifice, and a cutting implement. The irrigation hypotube is disposed on an outer surface of the outer tube and the cooling orifice is disposed at a distal end of the distal section. The cutting implement is disposed at a distal end of the distal section opposite the handpiece.

摘要: A clotting agent delivery system comprises a frame, a passageway extending along the frame, a discharge opening connected to the passageway, a clotting agent reservoir fluidly connected to the passageway to hold a clotting agent substance, a valve in the passageway to control flow of the substance through the passageway, and an actuator to allow propellent to flow into the passageway, wherein the valve and clotting agent reservoir cooperate to provide clotting agent substance to the discharge opening at constant pressure using the propellant. A method for delivering a clotting agent comprises inserting a delivery catheter into an anatomic area, coupling a clotting agent delivery system to the delivery catheter, the clotting agent delivery system having a reservoir of a clotting agent, operating a valve to release propellant for propelling the clotting agent, and conveying the propellant and the clotting agent to the delivery catheter at a constant pressure.

摘要: Various aspects of methods, systems, and use cases may be used to deploy a light source to a targeted organ location via a working channel of an endoscope, such as in a manner that leaves the working channel free for use by another instrument and that can avoid requiring an additional channel, beyond the working channel, for illumination of a target region.

摘要: A method for determining a characteristic of material at a target is provided. A target is illuminated with a pulsed light source. A fluorescence signal from the target when the pulsed light source is an “off” state is then sensed. Based on analysis of the fluorescence signal, a characteristic of material at the target is identified. A device can then be controlled based on the identified characteristic of the material at the target.

摘要: A multi-channel endoscope can include a control section and an insertion end. The endoscope can include a user control mechanism. The control section can include at least one working channel and a channel within the control section. The working channel can accommodate at least one medical instrument which can fracture a target object into fragments. A catheter, such as a fluidic catheter, can extend from and retract to an originating proximal position at the insertion end of the endoscope. A vacuum pressure source or an irrigation source can be coupled to a proximal end of the channel. The user control mechanism can control the position of the catheter with respect to the endoscope and can be used to operate the vacuum pressure source or irrigation source.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods for delivering laser energy to a target in an endoscopic procedure are disclosed. An exemplary method comprises providing a first laser pulse train and a different second laser pulse train emitting from a distal end of an endoscope and incident on a target. The first laser pulse train has a first laser energy level, and the second laser pulse train has a second laser energy level higher than the first laser energy level. In an example, the first laser pulse train is used to form cracks on a surface of a calculi structure, and the second laser pulse train causes fragmentation of the calculi structure after the cracks are formed.

摘要: Techniques are provided for managing power to various devices within a suite or room, such as an operating room. In an example, an apparatus can include a first input configured to couple to a system controller of an operating room, multiple outputs configured couple to control inputs of one or more power relays, and a controller configured to control the one or more power relays via the multiple outputs in response to a power status of the system controller. The first input can be indicative of the power status of the system controller. Each power relay of the one or more power relays can be configured to selectively connect power to medical equipment of the operating room.
