Abstract:
An FET is turned ON with supply of a power Vcc to a sensor started, and a signal indicating a result of detection is inputted from the sensor to a GPI terminal of an MCU. After supply of the power Vcc to the sensor is started, the MCU enters the sleep state, and the state is maintained until a normal detection result is outputted from the sensor. When the sensor starts outputting a normal detection result, the MCU returned from the sleep state upon an interruption by a timer, and sampling is made for an output from the sensor. When sampling is performed, supply of the power Vcc to the sensor is stopped with the CMU set in the sleep state. The present invention can be applied to a portable type of information processing apparatus such as a mobile telephone and a PDA.
Abstract:
The number of colors used in the object image indicated by a raster image rendering command is counted. The format of the object image is then converted according to the number of counted colors. The data size of the raster image is then reduced without impairing the quality of the raster image, thereby increasing processing performance.
Abstract:
Viewability is improved creating more reliable visual recognition of an image including a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image to clearly distinguish a copy and an original being displayed for preview. An image processing apparatus produces data of a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image that is added to an image to be output for printing and comprises a latent image and a background image. The apparatus includes: a display unit for displaying an image; and a display control unit for distinctively displaying images, on the display unit, in a first display state displaying the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image and in a second display state in which a display mode of at least one of the latent image and the background image of the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image differs from a display mode of the image displayed in the first display state.

The material can contain a rhodium salt or an organic desensitizer for lowering the sensitivity while maintaining the high contrast photographic property thereof.
Abstract:
An image receiving material for a silver salt diffusion transfer process comprising a support and at least one image receiving layer, wherein the image receiving layer comprises a binder made up of gelatin, physical development nuclei and polysaccharides having a viscosity of 3 to 200 cp when measured in a 5% aqueous solution at 25.degree. C., with a ratio of the polysaccharides/gelatin being from about 1/10 to 8/10 by weight, and the same or different image receiving layer comprises a surface active agent represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group having from 8 to 24 carbon atoms or ##STR2## (wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, provided that the total number of carbon atoms of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is at least 6); A represents an alkylene group having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms; m is an integer of from 0 to 6; n is an integer of 0 to 12; p is 0 or 1; and M represents an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, an ammonium group or a substituted ammonium group. The image receiving layer of the image receiving material is brought into face-to-face contact with the exposed silver halide photographic emulsion of a light-sensitive material and processed by a silver salt diffusion transfer process. The image receiving material according to the invention provides transfer images without marks or shear in transfer, and has superior stripping facility.
Abstract:
A black-and-white negative image forming process is disclosed using a diffusion transfer type film unit. An exposed silver halide emulsion comprising internal latent image type silver halide grains which have substantially no fogging centers at their surface is processed with a composition comprising a silver halide solvent, a developing agent, a foggant, alkali and a fog promoting agent. The solvent for the silver halide characteristically possesses a solubilizing power for AgBr of from about 2.times.10.sup.-5 to 5.times.10.sup.-3 mol/l in a 0.002 molar aqueous solution.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, a user can properly acquire a desired print product with a few procedures in front of an output device. An information processing apparatus includes a print job output unit configured to output a print job, wherein, if the print job output unit receives a request for pull printing from an output device related apparatus for a first time, the print job output unit compares a capacity of an output target device with a print setting, selects a print job including a print setting matching with the capacity of the output target device from stored print jobs, and outputs the selected print job, and if the print job output unit receives a request for pull printing from the output device related apparatus consecutively, the print job output unit outputs the stored print jobs.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus performs a density adjustment process for generating an image containing a copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image for warning against the use of copy products. To help users to easily adjust the density of a latent image portion and a background portion in the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image, the image processing apparatus determines a density relationship of the latent image portion and the background portion by performing a plurality of adjustment operations, in combination, different in the amount of adjustment relating to the range of variable density in at least one of the latent image portion and the background portion, and sets, based on the density relationship, the density data of each of the latent image portion and the background portion in the data of the copy-forgery-inhibited pattern image.
Abstract:
A detailed data aggregation apparatus holds detailed data of a plurality of events and a transcription and replenishment rule. In the rule, a plurality of common items, which are common to different events as a minimum unit of aggregation, are defined, and a transcription instruction (for instructing to transcribe a value corresponding to an event definition item to a value corresponding to the common item) and a replenishment instruction (for instructing to replenish a value to be replenished as the value corresponding to the common item) are described, associated with each common item for each event. Regarding the held detailed data, transcribed/replenished detailed data including values corresponding to the common items is created from the respective detailed data according to the transcription instruction or replenishment instruction. The apparatus aggregates the created data in a unit of predetermined common item specified as a unit of aggregation or in a unit of combination of predetermined common items.
