摘要: A failure monitor designed to monitor a failure in operation of a motor drive control system. The system works to drive a motor-driven member through an output shaft and includes an angular position sensor for determining an angular position of the output shaft for use in controlling the motor. The failure monitor includes a storage device retaining an output shaft stop position that is the angular position of the output shaft, as determined upon a stop of the motor. The failure monitor detect the presence of failure of the angular position sensor based on a comparison between the angular position of the output shaft, as measured upon initiation of a motor start request, with the output shaft stop position.

摘要: In an automatic transmission position control by a motor, it is determined whether the present instant belongs to a starting period, that is, the present instant is immediately after resetting of a control unit or application of power to it. If it is the starting period, an actual shift position that is detected from an output of an output shaft sensor for detecting a rotation position of a motor is set as an instructed shift position. With this measure, even if the control unit is reset for a certain reason while the vehicle is running, the instructed shift position is not changed in association with the resetting. This prevents trouble that the shift position is switched contrary to the intention of the driver, whereby the reliability of a position switching control can be increased.

摘要: A shift control system rotates an actuator to allow a wall of a detent plate and a roller of a detent spring to contact each other and then detects the position of contact so as to detect the position of the wall of the detent plate. After the wall position is determined, the actuator is driven in the direction opposite to the wall until the actuator reaches a position located before the wall position and distant therefrom by a predetermined amount, in order to cancel flexure or extension of the detent spring that is caused when the detent spring is pushed against the wall of the detent plate. Accordingly, such a situation where the shift position is moved by the recovery force of the detent spring can be avoided.

摘要: In a computer in which control software is installed, a display capability information receiving section conducts an information receiving process, receiving display capability information of a display device from a display capability information receiving/sending section of a printer beforehand. In printing job information settings, a display capability match/comparison section conducts a comparison process, comparing a user name and a printing job name inputted manually by a user or automatically by a job name and other data receiving section, with the display capability information received in the information receiving process, and determining whether the indication of the names is suitable for the display capability or not. A comparison result processing section receives the above comparison result, and when the indication is not suitable for the display capability, it conducts a notifying process, notifying the user to input the names using characters suitable for the display capability. Thus, user input setting support is provided so as to set printing job information at a printing data supply device using characters suitable for the display capability of the display device of a printing output device.

摘要: A header information analyzing unit that analyzes header information of an e-mail received by a mail receiving unit includes a destination determining unit that determines whether the received e-mail is directed to a specific address for a receiver of the e-mail or directed to multiple addresses including the receiver's mail address, and an address entry determining unit that refers to an address book based on the header information and determines whether a mail address of a mail transmission source is recorded in the address book. When the determination result of the destination determining unit shows the specific address, a first incoming mail sound is output from an incoming mail sound outputting unit to inform of mail arrival, and when the determination result of the destination determining unit shows the multiple addresses, a second incoming mail sound is output from the incoming mail sound outputting unit to inform of mail arrival. Furthermore, on the basis of the determination result of the address entry determining unit, when the mail address is recorded, first light emission is provided by an incoming mail light emitting unit to inform of mail arrival, and when the mail address is not recorded, second light emission is provided by the incoming mail light emitting unit to inform of mail arrival. Therefore, it is possible to determine whether a received e-mail is TO mail or CC (BCC) mail in accordance with the difference in incoming mail sound, and is also possible to easily identify whether the mail address of the mail transmission source is recorded in the address book in accordance with the difference in incoming mail light.

摘要: A motor control apparatus, for controlling an electric motor to move a control object from a current position to a target position, estimates a condition of a load currently being applied to the motor (e.g., whether it is a positive or a negative load) based on the current position of the control object and predetermined data that relate positions of the control object to load conditions, and adjusts a target value of motor rotation speed in accordance with the estimation results.
