    Abstract: This application provides a communications method and apparatus, to improve uplink transmission performance. The method includes determining, by a terminal device, capability indication information and sending the capability indication information to a network device. The capability indication information is used to determine a power scaling factor, the power scaling factor is a ratio of a sum of actual transmit power of n non-zero antenna ports to channel transmit power, and a maximum value of the channel transmit power is a rated maximum transmit power of a system.

    Abstract: A reference signal transmission method includes: sending, by a terminal, a first reference signal and a second reference signal; and correspondingly, receiving, by a network device, the first reference signal and the second reference signal, where the first reference signal is mapped to a plurality of symbols and is used for estimation of channel state information, the second reference signal is mapped to at least two of the plurality of symbols and is used for phase tracking, and a subcarrier to which the second reference signal is mapped on one of the at least two symbols has a same frequency-domain location as a subcarrier to which the second reference signal is mapped on the rest of the at least two symbols. With the foregoing solution, accuracy of channel state information estimation can be improved.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a method for generating a random access channel ZC sequence, and an apparatus. A method for generating a random access channel ZC sequence includes: generating, by a base station, notification signaling, where the notification signaling instructs user equipment (UE) to generate a random access ZC sequence by using a second restricted set in a random access set; and sending, by the base station, the notification signaling to the UE, so that the UE generates the random access ZC sequence by using the second restricted set, where the random access set includes an unrestricted set, a first restricted set, and the second restricted set; and the second restricted set is a random access set that the UE needs to use when a Doppler frequency shift of the UE is greater than or equal to a first predetermined value.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method, a base station, and a terminal device. The communication method includes: determining, by a base station, a resource mapping manner of data to be sent to a terminal device, where the resource mapping manner is one or more of a resource mapping manner in time domain first then frequency domain, a resource mapping manner in frequency domain first then time domain, and a resource mapping manner with interleaved mapping in at least one of time or frequency domain; and sending, by the base station, indication information to the terminal device, where the indication information indicates the resource mapping manner. According to the embodiments of this application, the resource mapping manner of the data can be flexibly configured, thereby dispersing interference as much as possible and improving a rate of correct decoding.

    Abstract: This application relates to the field of mobile communications, and in particular, to technologies of obtaining channel state information in a wireless communications system. In a channel information obtaining method, a base station obtains channel state matrix information of some channels based on uplink reference information sent by a terminal and partial channel state information of channels between the base station and the terminal, to obtain channel state matrix information of the channels between the base station and the terminal. Base on this method, relatively complete channel state matrix information of the channels between the base station and the terminal can be obtained. This helps the base station select an appropriate parameter to transmit data to the terminal without causing an additional delay, performance loss, or cost increase, or consuming more time-frequency resources used for the uplink reference signal.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for feeding back channel state information, a user equipment, and a base station, to improve feedback precision of channel state information. The method includes: receiving a reference signal sent by a base station; selecting a precoding matrix W from a codebook according to the reference signal, where a column vector of the precoding matrix W may be expressed as α[v ejϕv]T, v=[1 ejθ]; and sending a precoding matrix indicator PMI to the base station, where the PMI is corresponding to the selected precoding matrix W. The present invention may further improve quantization precision and achieve balance between overheads and the quantization precision. The base station performs precoding on a sent signal according to a fed back precoding matrix indicator, which can improve precoding precision, thereby improving a data transmission rate and system throughput.
