Abstract: One or more processors of a mobile computing device may receive, from a view provider, graphical user interface (GUI) view data that specifies, for each respective GUI view of a set of GUI views, a respective platform-neutral layout description and a respective one or more condition for the respective GUI view to be a relevant GUI view. The one or more processors may determine a GUI view as the relevant GUI view out of the set of GUI views based at least in part on one or more conditions for the GUI view specified by the GUI view data. The one or more processors may, in response to determining the GUI view as the relevant GUI view, output, based at least in part on a platform-neutral layout description for the GUI view specified by the GUI view data, the GUI view for display at a display device.

In some implementations, a method for providing media guidance is provided, the method comprising: associating with a local area network; detecting at least one media device on the local area network; determining device information associated with the at least one media device on the local area network; determining, without user intervention, television provider information based on the device information; determining location information of the at least one media device; determining channel information based on the determined television provider information and the determined location information; and causing media guidance information to be presented that includes at least a portion of the determined channel information.

Abstract: Provided is an in-ear device and associated computational support system that leverages machine learning to interpret sensor data descriptive of one or more in-ear phenomena during subvocalization by the user. An electronic device can receive sensor data generated by at least one sensor at least partially positioned within an ear of a user, wherein the sensor data was generated by the at least one sensor concurrently with the user subvocalizing a subvocalized utterance. The electronic device can then process the sensor data with a machine-learned subvocalization interpretation model to generate an interpretation of the subvocalized utterance as an output of the machine-learned subvocalization interpretation model.

Abstract: A process adapts user-initiated search queries. The process executes at a client device with a microphone. The process downloads audio fingerprints from a remote server for a plurality of video programs, and downloads information that correlates the audio fingerprint to the video programs. The audio fingerprints are preselected according to relevancy criteria, including stored user preferences and prior search queries by the user. The audio fingerprints and correlating information are stored locally. The process detects ambient sound using the microphone and computes one or more sample audio fingerprints from the detected ambient sound. The process matches a sample audio fingerprint to a locally stored audio fingerprint and uses the correlating information to identify a first video program corresponding to the matched sample audio fingerprint. The process then receives user input to initiate a search query. The process provides auto-complete suggestions for the search query based on the first video program.
