A display controller performs control to display the first display image on a display section, and to display the second display image on the display section within a display region of the first display image. An automatic focus section, in cases in which a predetermined instruction has been input, performs automatic focusing in a focus region having at least a portion that overlaps with at least a portion of a display region of the second display image.
