Abstract: An electronic device having a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays, in a user interface, image(s) from a media item corresponding to a sequence of images in a display mode. In response to an input, the device displays an editing user interface that changes which images are included in the media item when the media item is displayed in the display mode, including concurrently displaying: an area display images in the sequence of images; another distinct area including representations of images in the sequence of images, a user-adjustable begin-trim affordance indicating a first boundary for playback through the sequence of images, and a user-adjustable end-trim affordance indicating a second boundary for playback through the sequence of images. The device further adjusts the media item, exits the editing user interface in response to an input, and displays the edited media item in the display mode in the user interface.

Abstract: An electronic device displays an image in a sequence of images. The sequence of images includes a representative image and images acquired by the camera before and after acquiring the representative image. While displaying the image, the device detects a first input and, in response, displays a user interface for trimming the sequence of images. The user interface includes: representations of images in the sequence of images; a begin-trim icon that delimits a beginning image in the subset of the sequence of images; and an end-trim icon that delimits an ending image in the subset of the sequence of images. The begin-trim and end-trim icons are located at positions that are automatically selected by the device. The device detects a second input and, in response, trims the sequence of images to the subset of the sequence of images based on the positions of the begin-trim and the end-trim icons.

Abstract: An electronic device displays, in a first user interface, a media item that corresponds to a sequence of images in a first display mode, which is one of a plurality of user-selectable display modes for the media item. Abstract: An electronic device has multiple cameras and displays a digital viewfinder user interface for previewing visual information provided by the cameras. The multiple cameras may have different properties such as focal lengths. When a single digital viewfinder is provided, the user interface allows zooming over a zoom range that includes the respective zoom ranges of both cameras. The zoom setting to determine which camera provides visual information to the viewfinder and which camera is used to capture visual information. The user interface also allows the simultaneous display of content provided by different cameras at the same time. When two digital viewfinders are provided, the user interface allows zooming, freezing, and panning of one digital viewfinder independently of the other. The device allows storing of a composite images and/or videos using both digital viewfinders and corresponding cameras.

Abstract: Techniques and devices for creating a Forward-Reverse Loop output video and other output video variations. A pipeline may include obtaining input video and determining a start frame within the input video and a frame length parameter based on a temporal discontinuity minimization. The selected start frame and the frame length parameter may provide a reversal point within the Forward-Reverse Loop output video. The Forward-Reverse Loop output video may include a forward segment that begins at the start frame and ends at the reversal point and a reverse segment that starts after the reversal point and plays back one or more frames in the forward segment in a reverse order. The pipeline for the generating Forward-Reverse Loop output video may be part of a shared resource architecture that generates other types of output video variations, such as AutoLoop output videos and Long Exposure output videos.
