摘要: A Video Card with standard video output and a Network Ethernet port output of compressed digital video output that represents the image seen by a monitored computer user. A custom video card software driver is used to set up the dual display video controller configurations that assist with the functioning of the digital video compression that is a hardware combination of Run-Length, Huffman encoding and MPEG located on the same monitored user video card. One of the video controller's I2C ports is used to control the compression video circuits and as the pathway for the custom Ethernet communications, thus avoiding an additional costly connection to the user's main computer bus. The first video stream from the dual head video controller chip is used for regular viewing by the local PC (personal computer) user. The second video flow is a frame delayed version of the first video stream used to for comparing current and old frames as the core digital compression image process that results in an Network Ethernet video output. This invention provides a low cost hardware compression for the popular XGA, UXGA VESA computer graphics formats.

摘要: Editing of blocks of web page content from within an integrated application capable of displaying a web page. An algorithm based on both the element and the element format is applied to identify a qualifying block to which a user's input is directed. The heuristic applied to identify such a block is designed to select enough content that a minimal number of user inputs are required without selecting so much content that the user is unable to retain desirable portions of the web page. Then, to facilitate an easy way of editing the web page content, a visual option is displayed for selection by the user to perform an operation (deleting, copying, etc.) on the block. The visual option can be a button, an image, or a menu option.

摘要: An apparatus for improving the performance of a radial compressor 36 forming part of an inlet system of an engine 10 is disclosed in which the configuration and positioning of a flow management device 137 used to generate pre-whirl is optimized so as to produce a pressure drop below a maximum acceptable level. An inlet duct ‘I’ connected to the radial compressor 36 has a tapered end portion so that a flow management device 137 of a larger diameter d2 can be accommodated than the diameter d1 of an inlet port ‘IP’ to the radial compressor 36.

摘要: A method and system for providing efficient menu services for an information processing system that uses a telephone or other form of audio user interface. In one embodiment, the menu services provide effective support for novice users by providing a full listing of available keywords and rotating house advertisements which inform novice users of potential features and information. For experienced users, cues are rendered so that at any time the user can say a desired keyword to invoke the corresponding application. The menu is flat to facilitate its usage. Full keyword listings are rendered after the user is given a brief cue to say a keyword. Service messages rotate words and word prosody. When listening to receive information from the user, after the user has been cued, soft background music or other audible signals are rendered to inform the user that a response may now be spoken to the service. Other embodiments determine default cities, on which to report information, based on characteristics of the caller or based on cities that were previously selected by the caller. Other embodiments provide speech concatenation processes that have co-articulation and real-time subject-matter-based word selection which generate human sounding speech. Other embodiments reduce the occurrences of falsely triggered barge-ins during content delivery by only allowing interruption for certain special words. Other embodiments offer special services and modes for calls having voice recognition trouble. The special services are entered after predetermined criterion have been met by the call. Other embodiments provide special mechanisms for automatically recovering the address of a caller.
