Abstract:
A movable component which can be moved between a protruding position in which the movable component protrudes from the outer chute into a curved path toward an inner chute so as to be able to contact the recording medium and a retracted position in which the degree of protrusion of the movable component from the outer chute into the curved path is smaller than the degree of protrusion in the protruding position, and the movable component is moved from the protruding position to the retracted position at a timing on or after a first timing and before a second timing.
Abstract:
A projection image display apparatus includes: a light source; an illumination optical system that uniformly irradiates a surface of an image modulation element serving as a primary image surface with a light beam emitted from the light source; and a projection optical system that enlarges and projects image information on the primary image surface modulated by the image modulation element onto a screen serving as a secondary image surface, and that includes a first optical system that forms an intermediate image from the image information, a single-image second optical system that enlarges and projects the intermediate image to display a single image on the screen, a plural-image second optical system that enlarges and projects the intermediate image to display plural images on the screen, and an optical path switching mechanism that selectively guides a light beam from the first optical system to the single-image or plural-image second optical system.

An ink ribbon cartridge including a frame, supply shaft supporting members and take-up shaft supporting members is provided. The supply shaft supporting members support a supply shaft, and the take-up shaft supporting members support a take-up shaft. The frame includes a first bearing member, a second bearing member, a front connecting member, which connects front ends of the first and second bearing members together, and a back connecting member connects back ends of the first and second bearing members together. At least one of the front connecting member and the back connecting member has one of a groove or a hole capable of accommodating a portion of an image forming device in which the ink ribbon cartridge may be installed.
Abstract:
An ink cartridge has a supply core tube that supplies an ink sheet rolled around the supply core tube and a take-up core tube that takes up the ink sheet supplied from the supply core tube. The supply core tube and the take-up core tube are rotatably supported by a frame via supporting shafts provided at both ends of each of the supply core tube and the take-up core tube. The supply core tube may be provided with a connecting mechanism that connects a supply side supporting shaft, which is one of the supporting shafts provided at both ends of the supply core tube, with the supply core tube, and at least one through opening formed at one longitudinal end portion of the supply core tube. The opening allows a tool to be inserted therethrough to access the connecting mechanism for disengaging the connection.
Abstract:
An ink ribbon cartridge including a cartridge frame, take-up shaft connecting members, and supply shaft connecting members is provided. The take-up shaft connecting members support and rotatably connect ends of a take-up shaft to the cartridge frame and the supply shaft connecting members support and rotatably connect ends of a supply shaft to the cartridge frame. At least one of the supply shaft connecting members includes a rotation member, an intermediate body, an urging member, and a spool portion, the spool portion is arranged substantially inside the supply shaft. The intermediate body is arranged between a portion of an inner surface of the rotation member and a portion of an outer surface of the cartridge frame, and the urging member is arranged substantially inside at least one of the spool portion and the rotation member and urges the inner surface of the rotation member closer to the outer surface of the cartridge frame.
Abstract:
An ink ribbon cartridge including a frame, supply shaft connecting member, and take-up shaft connecting members is provided. The supply shaft connecting members connect a supply shaft to the frame, and the take-up shaft connecting members connect a take-up shaft to the frame. One of the take-up shaft connecting members includes a gear for driving the take-up shaft and the supply shaft, the take-up shaft connecting member with the gear is detachable relative to the frame such that when the take-up shaft is removed from the frame, the take-up shaft connecting member with the gear remains secured to the frame. The frame having a substantially rectangular shape with a plurality of projecting portions, at least two of the plurality of projecting portions are substantially facing each other.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transmitting or reflecting incident light. The apparatus includes a pair of diffraction grid substrates; a substantially grid-shaped diffraction grid formed of metal, wherein the diffraction grid is disposed between the substrates; and a pair of adhesive layers, each adhesive layer coupled to each substrate. The apparatus also includes a pair of block members, wherein each block member is coupled to each adhesive layer. The block member is configured with a plurality of substantially equally-shaped flat plate members alternately layered with adhesive layers for optically coupling the block member with substantially reduced optical distortion than when configured with a single transparent component. The block member includes a surface to output the light transmitted or reflected from the diffraction grid and passing through the flat plate members.
Abstract:
The diamter of &bgr;-titanium alloy wire is reduced by cold wire-drawing and the &bgr;-titanium alloy wire is subjected to heat treatment. The heat treatment comprises the first aging process for precipitation strengthening and the second aging process for removing processing strain. &bgr;-titanium alloy wire is heat-treated under the supply of tension at the second aging process.
Abstract:
A projection-type display device for displaying an image using a projector device emitting optical images spatially modulated by reflection-type liquid crystal panels onto a screen, wherein phase difference plates are arranged at the incidence planes of the reflection-type liquid panels so as to cancel out the retardation comprised of the retardation corresponding to one-quarter of the wavelength of the incident light due to the polarization beam splitter plus the retardations due to the dichroic mirrors of the color separating and synthesizing means, whereby it is possible to make the illumination light leaking from the polarization beam splitter to the projection lens at the black level portions extremely small and possible to prevent a reduction in the contrast due to the haze phenomenon.
Abstract:
A powder of at least one of TiB.sub.2, ZrB.sub.2 and HfB.sub.2 is mixed with at least one of Ti, Zr, Hf, TiB, ZrB and HfB, or with at least one of Ti, Zr, Hf, TiB, ZrB and HfB and a powder of boron, to prepare a mixed powder which can form a sintered product having a boron content of 65 to 67 atom %. Alternatively, a powder of at least one of Ti, Zr, Hf, TiB, ZrB and HfB is mixed with a powder of boron to prepare the mixed powder. The mixed powder may further contain up to a maximum of 30% by weight of a powder of AlN. Then, the mixed powder is sintered to make metal diboride ceramics. The lower-melting metal or compound which the mixed powder contains melts to form a liquid phase and enables the manufacture of a sintered product of high density by a customary sintering operation employing a low temperature. The sintered product having a boron content of 65 to 67 atom % consists solely of metal diboride crystals having a structure of the hexagonal system.
