Abstract:
In one of many possible examples, a system includes a media content processing subsystem configured to display an interactive main menu graphical user interface having at least a first viewing pane and a second viewing pane, display a stationary magnified area within the first viewing pane, and display a list of entries that is configured to be selectively located within the magnified area within the first viewing pane. Each entry within the list of entries represents content available via the processing subsystem. When one of the entries within the list is located within the magnified area, the processing subsystem is further configured to display content represented by that entry within the second viewing pane.
Abstract:
In one of many possible embodiments, a system includes a media content processing subsystem configured to display a scrollable program guide graphical user interface. The graphical user interface is configured to show a multiplicity of blocks of information corresponding to a multiplicity of content carriers. The processing subsystem is further configured to display a magnified area within the program guide graphical user interface. When a block corresponding to a particular content carrier within the multiplicity of content carriers is entered into the magnified area, the processing subsystem is configured to display enhanced information corresponding to one or more media content instances transmitted via the particular content carrier.
Abstract:
An exemplary system includes a content processing subsystem configured to record at least a subset of a media content program and detect a defective portion of the recorded media content program that failed to be properly recorded. The content processing subsystem is further configured to provide a recording status indicator to an output device for presentation to a user, the recording status indicator identifying the defective portion of the recorded media content program. In certain implementations, the content processing subsystem is further configured to heal at least a subset of the defective portion of the recorded media content program and provide a healing status indicator to the output device for presentation to the user, the healing status indicator identifying the healed portion of the recorded media content program.
Abstract:
A method may include receiving communications associated with a communication session. The communication session may correspond to a telephone conversation, text-based conversation or a multimedia conversation. The method may also include identifying portions of the communication session and storing the identified portions. The method may further include receiving a request to retrieve information associated with the communication session and providing to a display, information associated with the identified portions.
Abstract:
Content may be displayed on a touch-screen display of a device as part of a graphical interface in which the content is divided into categories or sections, and each category/section is associated with a graphical tab. The device may detect a selection of one of the graphic tabs based on a touch gesture received by the touch-screen display and display, on the touch-screen display, content items corresponding to the subset of content items for the selected tab.
Abstract:
A device receives a request to display an interactive profile card for a particular contact and retrieves contact-related items for the particular contact. The device also retrieves a template for the interactive profile card and generates a graphic representing a contact-related item. The device displays the template with the graphic and executes a peripheral application to present the contact-related item when the graphic is selected by a user of the computing device.
Abstract:
An exemplary system includes a media content processing subsystem configured to provide a first interactive graphical user interface to a display for presentation to a user in response to a transmission of an input command, provide an end interactive graphical user interface to the display for presentation to the user in response to a repeat transmission of the input command, and perform an action corresponding to a selected entry within the end interactive graphical user interface in response to another repeat transmission of the input command. The first interactive graphical user interface corresponds to a first content level within a navigation thread and the end interactive graphical user interface corresponds to an end content level within the navigation thread.
Abstract:
An exemplary method includes a communication device maintaining multiple active communication sessions with multiple other communication devices, displaying, on a touch screen display, multiple graphical objects representing the multiple active communication sessions, detecting a pinch touch gesture provided by a user on the touch screen display in relation to the graphical objects representing the multiple active communication sessions, and initiating, in response to the pinch touch gesture, a merging of the multiple active communication sessions to form a merged active communication session. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An exemplary system includes a media content processing subsystem configured to provide a program guide graphical user interface (“GUI”) to a display for presentation to a user, the program guide GUI including a portion of a program guide. The media content processing subsystem is further configured to provide at least one navigation tool to the display for presentation in the program guide GUI, the navigation tool including a plurality of selectable options for navigating the program guide. The media content processing subsystem is further configured to detect a user selection of one of the selectable options and initiate a navigation to a location in the program guide based on the selected option. In certain embodiments, the navigation tool includes at least one of a time-based navigation tool and a channel navigation tool.
Abstract:
An exemplary method includes an access device 1) transmitting a profile request signal to a profile management subsystem over a network, the profile request signal representing a request for profile data representative of a feature set corresponding to an additional access device, 2) receiving the profile data from the profile management subsystem in accordance with the profile request signal, 3) storing the profile data within a data store included within the access device, 4) using the stored profile data to display one or more graphics representing the feature set corresponding to the additional access device, and 5) establishing, based on the stored profile data and after the one or more graphics representing the feature set corresponding to the additional access device are displayed, a communications channel between the access device and the additional access device. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.
