    Abstract: A switch actuation apparatus for a firearm-mounted flashlight having a switch mechanism. The apparatus is mounted to a firearm having a grip area for being held by a hand. A support base is adapted to be mounted from the grip area. A slide is movably supported by the support base for causing actuation of the switch mechanism for operating the flashlight. The flashlight is supported by one of the support base or slide. The apparatus further includes an actuating member coupled to the slide for movement relative to the support base. The actuating member has an operating surface accessible to at least a finger of a hand holding the grip area of the firearm for moving the slide to operating the flashlight. In this arrangement, the user of the firearm can easily operate the flashlight without moving a hand from its usual position for holding and operating the firearm.

    Abstract: A dish draining rack (10) is disclosed comprising a central upwardly opening chamber (12) defined by longitudinal side panels (18,20) and end panels (26,28). The side panels ( 18, 20) are formed to include a series of convoluted concave depressions (30) defined by concave depress(on side walls (32). Edge portions (40) ofthe floor surface (16) cant downward from the center to the side panels (18,20), and a passageway (34) is positioned below each depression (30) and extends through the floor surface (16). An inverted glass positioned upon the edge surface portion (40) tilts into one of the depressions (30) where it is supporied by the depression concave side walls (32). So positioned, water in the glass collects and travels along an outward surface of the glass to the floor surface (16) and thence through the passageways (34) through the floor edge portions (40) to a mat below the rack.

    Abstract: A wastebasket (10) includes a base portion (11) with an open upper end and a cover (12) pivotally attached thereto. A lever (27) is pivotally attached to the base portion (11) and carries a link arm (30) near one end thereof so that pivoting the lever (27) moves the link arm (30) upwardly and downwardly. A pin member (35) is carried by the upper end of the link arm (30) and is received in a track (39) carried by the cover (12) through an access opening (40) positioned above the pin member (35) when the cover (12) is closed on the base portion (11). The pivotal movement of the cover (12) is limited by a handle (50) which extends rearwardly from the base portion (11) to a further extent than the cover (12) when it is fully open thus preventing the cover (12) from contacting any surface which might be adjacent to the handle (50). When used with a plastic liner (53), the liner (53) may be draped over the upper open edge of the base portion (11). Fins (54) carried by the cover (12) travel in trackways (18) located at the upper edge of base portion (11) during the pivotal movement of the cover (12) to push the liner (53) away from the track (39) and pin member (35) so that the liner (53) does not interfere with the operation thereof.
