Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a network entity may configure a user equipment (UE) with a set of cells supporting Layer 1 (L1) mobility, Layer 2 (L2) mobility, or both for special cells (SpCells). The network entity may transmit a control signal, such as a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) or a downlink control information (DCI) message, to the UE to update an SpCell. The control signal may include a cell identifier (ID) indicating which cell to set as the SpCell. Additionally, the control signal may include a transmission/reception point (TRP) ID indicating which TRP to set as the primary TRP (pTRP) for the SpCell. In response to the control signal, the UE may switch from a current SpCell to the cell indicated by the control signal and may communicate with the network via the pTRP of the new SpCell.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station serving the UE in a first network, a power control configuration and a reference signal measurement configuration. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the reference signal measurement configuration, a reference signal from at least one wireless device of a second network. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the power control configuration and the received reference signal, an interference level for the second network introduced by the first network. The UE may adjust a transmission power limit for the UE based at least in part on the determined interference level and the power control configuration. The UE may transmit signals to the base station according to the adjusted transmission power limit.

An example method generally includes receiving, from a network entity, signaling indicating a set of cells supported by one or more distributed units (DUs) under a common central unit (CU) and one or more timing advance groups (TAGs) for the set of cells; identifying a subset of the set of cells activated to serve the UE; receiving physical (PHY) layer or medium access control (MAC) layer mobility signaling; updating the subset of activated cells based on the mobility signaling; and communicating with the subset of activated cells based on a timing advance associated with the one or more TAGs in which the updated subset of activated cells belong.

Abstract: Coordination of listen before talk (LBT) structure in new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) multi-channel access operations is disclosed. In one aspect, when a base station determines to access shared communication spectrum, it may transmit an LBT structure signal that identifies the current LBT structure. The base station would then attempt access to the shared spectrum according to the LBT structure. In another aspect, a coordination server is used to manage access to the shared spectrum. Each node desiring access registers with the coordination server, which provides access parameters for the accessing node to use that increases the likelihood of successful access. The accessing nodes will transmit the selected access configuration used to access the shared spectrum, wherein the access configuration is selected based on the access parameters.

A base station may transmit, to a UE, a configuration of a first regulation operating mode for the UE. The base station may transmit downlink communications to the UE according to a second regulation operating mode, which may be different from the first regulation operating mode. the UE may then perform uplink transmissions to the base station according to the first regulation operating mode. In some cases, the UE may also receive signaling advertising the second regulation operating mode of the base station.

Abstract: New radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) multi-channel access is disclosed for low-radio frequency (RF)-capable user equipment (UE). A base station may enable multi-channel access when single operator operations cannot be guaranteed within a shared communication spectrum. The primary and secondary channels are defined within the shared communication channel. The base station may then transmit a configuration message to one or more low-RF UEs that identifies the charnels and directs the UEs to monitor the primary channel for a successful listen before talk (LBT) indicator. The base station performs an LBT procedure on the primary channel and the secondary channel and signals the low-RF UEs to re-tune to the secondary channel for communication during a current transmission opportunity.
