    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for transmitting reference signals (RS) for positioning. A method comprises transmitting or providing an instruction to transmit a first set of RS to a user equipment (UE) in accordance with a first set of RS transmission parameters, receiving a report containing information indicating whether a measurement performed by the UE is limited by a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the first set of RS or a bandwidth of the first set of RS, determining a second set of RS transmission parameters using the received report, wherein the second set of RS transmission parameters is different from the first set of RS transmission parameters, and transmitting a second set of RS to the UE in accordance with the second set of RS transmission parameters, or providing the second set of RS transmission parameters to a base station.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives a maximum downlink (DL) Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) layer configuration for DL communications, such as control signals or data signals, in one or more bandwidth parts (BWPs) and a positioning reference signal (PRS) configuration for receiving DL PRS. The UE receives DL PRS in an active BWP using a number of reception antennas based on, e.g., at least equal to, the maximum number of DL MIMO layers in the active bandwidth part. The UE may be configured to transmit uplink (UL) PRS, e.g., SRS for positioning purposes, using at least a maximum number of transmission antennas that is configured for communications purposes.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for determining round trip time (RTT) includes a second node, which receives a first signal from a first node at a first time, determines a timing advance based on a first estimated channel response for the first signal, and transmits at a second time, a second signal to the first node, wherein the second time occurs after the first time by an amount of a pre-specified delay for RTT estimation minus the timing advance. The first node transmits the first signal to the second node at an initial time, receives the second signal from the second node, and determines a timing statistic from a second estimated channel response for the second signal, the timing statistic estimated at a third time. The first node determines the RTT as the third time minus the initial time minus the pre-specified delay for RTT estimation.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for channel sounding for wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to scheduling sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets for wireless devices having more than 4 receive (RX) antenna ports. In some implementations, a base station may determine an antenna switching capability of a user equipment (UE). The antenna switching capability indicates a number of RX antenna ports of the UE. The base station schedules a number of SRS resource sets for the UE based at least in part on the number of RX antenna ports in excess of four. For example, the number of RX antenna ports may be equal to 8. As another example, the number of RX antenna ports may be equal to 6. The base station further receives, from the UE, uplink transmissions of one or more SRS resources for each of the scheduled SRS resource sets.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) receives reference signal resource configuration for transmitting reference signals for positioning from, e.g., a location server. The UE transmits or attempts to transmit reference signals for positioning to one or more transmission-reception points, such as a gNB. The UE may, however, may be unable to transmit reference signals in accordance with the reference signal resource configuration. For example, the UE may be unable to transmit the reference signals or may transmit the reference signals with lower power or a different spatial relation than configured. The UE may provide a reference signal transmission report indicating that the reference signals were not transmitted according to the reference signal resource configuration. The reference signal transmission report may indicate how the reference signal transmission differs from the reference signal resource configuration and may indicate the reasons that the reference signal transmission differs from the reference signal resource configuration.

    Abstract: An apparatus for wireless communication transmits a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for at least eight orthogonal DMRS ports in a single symbol of at least one slot. The apparatus also transmits data in the at least one slot. The apparatus may correspond to a base station transmitting DMRS and downlink data.     Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, on a first carrier having a first subcarrier spacing (SCS), a scheduling indication via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) scheduling a downlink transmission on a second carrier having a second SCS. The UE may process the downlink transmission on the second carrier based at least in part on a delay between the PDCCH and the scheduled downlink transmission and a timing threshold having a basic term and an adjustment term. For example, the basic term may be based at least in part on a minimum delay between the PDCCH and the scheduled downlink transmission, and the adjustment term may be based at least in part on a processing time due to a difference between the first SCS and the second SCS. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a location server, identifiers of a set of transmission-reception points (TRPs), the set of TRPs including a first reference TRP and a plurality of neighboring TRPs, receives a configuration to report reference signal time difference (RSTD) measurements for the plurality of neighboring TRPs with respect to a receive time of a reference signal from the first reference TRP and UE reception-to-transmission (UE Rx-Tx) measurements for a second reference TRP and the plurality of neighboring TRPs, and transmits, to the location server, based on one or more of a plurality of conditions being satisfied, a single UE Rx-Tx measurement for the second reference TRP and the RSTD measurements for the plurality of neighboring TRPs with respect to the receive time of the reference signal from the first reference TRP.
