Abstract: An apparatus for controlling flow of cement slurry in a well casing includes a cylindrical housing and a hopper within the cylindrical housing to collect the cement slurry. The apparatus further includes tubing, including at least one tube, coupled to the hopper within the cylindrical housing to transport the cement slurry from the hopper to at least one exit port. The apparatus further includes a bottom plate coupled to the tubing, the bottom plate including at least one exit port shaped to diffuse the cement slurry and arranged on the bottom plate such that the cement slurry flows along the entire internal diameter of the well casing.

Abstract: There is provided a method for well construction comprising the steps of: a first phase of the well construction, in which a bottom hole assembly, BHA, with a first drill is used for drilling, and a conductor casing is lowered into the well and cemented; a second phase of the well construction, in which a second drill is used for drilling, wherein a production adapter base, PAB, is installed in parallel with lowering a blowout preventer, BOP; and a third phase of the well construction in which a third drill is used for drilling, for the steps of landing and geonavigation inside a reservoir.

Abstract: A method for moving fluid through a pipe in a wellbore includes placing at least two different fluids in the pipe and in an annular space between the pipe and the wellbore. Fluid is pumped into the pipe at a rate to achieve a desired set of conditions. Using a predetermined volume distribution of the annular space, an axial position of each of the at least two fluids in the annular space during the pumping the displacement fluid is calculated.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, a spacer fluid includes an aqueous fluid, a weighting agent, and a clay stabilizer consisting of one or more polyethylene polyamines having a first structure H2NCH2CH2(NHCH2CH2)xNH2, where x is an integer greater than or equal to 3. The amount of the clay stabilizer may be from 0.1 wt. % to 10 wt. % relative to the total weight of the spacer fluid. The average molecular weight of the polyethylene polyamines in the spacer fluid having the first structure may be from 200 g/mol to 400 g/mol. All of the polyethylene polyamines in the spacer fluid having the first structure may be encompassed in the clay stabilizer. Methods for cementing a casing in a wellbore using the spacer fluid are also disclosed.

Abstract: A reverse cementing apparatus having a reverse cementing body with an internal bore, the reverse cementing body being coupleable to the downhole end of a casing pipe. The apparatus may further have a valve actuable from a closed to an open configuration, the closed configuration obstructing flow of fluid through the internal bore of the reverse cementing body. The valve may be configured to obstruct flow in an uphole direction during deployment but permit flow in the downhole direction. The apparatus further includes a port provided extending through a wall of the reverse cementing valve body from the internal bore to external the reverse cementing body, a fluid communication channel extending from the port to the internal bore. An actuable barrier member may be provided which is actuable to a closed position obstructing flow of fluid through the port upon actuation.

Abstract: A method of conditioning a well bore featuring an annulus (50) between a bore-lining tubing (20) and a surrounding bore wall (110) comprises pumping conditioning fluid through an inner tubing (10) located within the bore-lining tubing (20) and into a portion of the well bore containing the bore-lining tubing to affect the temperature of the portion of the well bore containing the bore-lining tubing. The annulus (50) between the bore-lining tubing (20) and the surrounding bore wall (110) is at least partially filled with settable material (54). The affected temperature of the portion of the well bore containing the bore-lining tubing influences the setting of the settable material. For example, heating the bore may accelerate setting of the material, while cooling the bore may retard setting of the material.

Abstract: An interchangeable casing shoe for a wellbore is disclosed. The interchangeable casing shoe includes a cylindrical housing, a first engagement assembly mounted to an outer diameter of the cylindrical housing and selectively extendible between a recessed position and an extended position, and a second engagement assembly mounted within the cylindrical housing and configured to engage a running tool. The wellbore has a wellbore tubular having an internal diameter surface. When in the extended position, the first engagement assembly engages the internal diameter surface of the wellbore tubular. When deployed at depth in the wellbore, the running tool engages the second engagement assembly and selectively shifts the first engagement assembly into the recessed position releasing the casing shoe.
