摘要: A restricting member includes a blade portion and a supporting portion. A contact portion is provided at the blade portion, and, in a cross section orthogonal to a longitudinal direction, the contact portion includes a first portion extending in a first direction and a second portion extending toward a free end from an end of the first portion and extending in a second direction. 摘要: A photosensitive member unit includes a photosensitive member, a transfer roller, a mounting portion capable of mounting a development unit including a development roller, a first gear and a second gear each provided at one end of the photosensitive member in an axial direction of the photosensitive member, and a third gear provided at one end of the transfer roller in an axial direction of the photosensitive member and configured to engage with the second gear. The first gear, the second gear, and the third gear are helical gears. A direction in which helical teeth of the first gear are inclined is opposite to a direction in which helical teeth of the second gear are inclined, and the direction in which the helical teeth of the first gear are inclined matches a direction in which helical teeth of the third gear are inclined.

摘要: A cartridge is used, which has a receptacle with a replenishment port from which a developer is replenished and which is configured to receive the developer replenished from the replenishment port. The receptacle has a transport region that is located lower than the replenishment port in the direction of gravity, where the received developer is transported in a transport direction. The receptacle is provided with a first filter and a second filter downstream and upstream of the replenishment port respectively in the transport direction. The first filter and second filter restrict passage of the developer while allowing passage of air. The first filter or the second filter is located higher than the transport region in the direction of gravity.

When a predetermined tangential line is a tangential line of a surface of a photosensitive member at an intersection, which is more remote from a rotational center of a charging member, of intersections between a line connecting a rotational center of the charging member and a rotational center of the photosensitive member and the surface of the photosensitive member, as viewed along a direction of a rotational axis of the developing member, and the cartridge is divided by the predetermined tangential line into sections, a predetermined section is a section in which the rotational center of the charging member does not exist, and as viewed along the rotational axis of the developing member when the second unit is in the spaced position, the contact force receiving portion is in the predetermined section.-

摘要: Provided are a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus each capable of suppressing an image defect (coarseness in a halftone image) caused by toner scattering in association with a charging failure that occurs when the process speed of the electrophotographic apparatus is further increased. The process cartridge includes: an electrophotographic photosensitive member; and a developing unit, which includes a toner storing portion that stores a toner, and which supplies the toner to a surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member. The electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a surface protective layer containing an electroconductive particle in an appropriate amount, and the volume resistivity of the surface protective layer is controlled. As the toner, there is used a toner in which an organosilicon polymer is present on the surface of a toner particle, a silanol group is present in part of the organosilicon polymer, and the amount of the silanol group is controlled.

摘要: An image forming apparatus, including a process cartridge and a main body with an opening and a cartridge supporter is provided. The process cartridge includes a drum cartridge; a toner cartridge attachable to the drum cartridge; and a switching member switchable states in the process cartridge between a first state, wherein detachment of the toner cartridge is restricted, and a second state, wherein the toner cartridge is released from the restriction. The cartridge supporter is movable between a first position, wherein the cartridge supporter supports the process cartridge to be placed entirely in an inner space in the main body on an inner side of the opening, and a second position, wherein the cartridge supporter supports the process cartridge to be at least partly placed outside the inner space. When the cartridge supporter is in the second position, the switching member is at least partly placed outside the inner space.

The front cover may include a pressing portion configured to press the pressed portion of the developing frame in a direction from the developing roller toward the photosensitive drum, and wherein the second terminal faces to the front cover when the front cover is in the closed position.
